Ultimately, meat lost. A wide range of bills were passed at the state and national levels to clamp down on the production and sale of these meat products.

A genetically engineered variety of parasitic mold, the Origin fungus will latch onto a living cell, seek and ingest its DNA, then replicate the original host cell repeatedly. With carefully designed matrices of host cells and the application of Origin fungus in a nutrient bath, manufacturers could suddenly grow large quantities of bioidentical meat.
