Kismet Kebabs fined £500k for selling lamb which was in fact a mix of skin, fat, goat, mutton and reclaimed meat product. Last year they were served a notice by HSE for safety failings, following an HSE conviction in 2012 In 2017 they were fined £82k for tax violations

British Gas has been fined £20 million and will pay compensation to customers after forcibly installing 40,000 pre-payment meters. Parent company Centrica has been sanctioned at least 31 times since 2011 for consumer-protection, competition, employment and safety-related offences

An SFO investigation has led to a deferred prosecution agreement with Ultra Electronics who will pay a penalty of £15m. This is the first corporate bribery sanction by the SFO since 2022

Industrial Chemicals Limited has been fined once again for clear health and safety failings that led to employees suffering serious injuries. Since 2011 the firm has been sanctioned 31 times by the HSE, including a £2.5m fine last year for a similar offence

UK govt strategic supplier Capita has once again been reported to the ICO for a data breach. Just last year it was fined £14m for a breach that affected 6.6 million people. It was given substantial leniency (penalty down from an initial £45m)
