but honestly I am just weird about wanting a handle on what's original in a lot of cases too. like if I see cool art and then realize that in the artists' tab that same picture has been reposted 3+ times, I will scroll down their media tab to find the oldest, the original posting of the picture

everytime it happens I'm less sad and more just, curious, "so where did this start from?" sometimes I can search it up or they actually do a QRT chain I can endlessly click through until I find the original, that's nice, but other times.. 🙃

"if not, move it to where you expected instead" -> they do math on the backend to adjust my mouse speed it's probably invasive and a dumb way to do it, but Pointer speeds and customizable DPI still feels like a lot more trial-and-error to me

thinking about auto-calibrating a mouse I want something that tells me to look at my cursor, close my eyes, listen to sound cue, move it a little bit, get another sound cue after a bit of waiting, and then be asked "is your mouse position currently where you imagined it would be?"

I think the issue is that most devs only has one slider which is "the rate at which new characters appear" instead of also adding sliders like "wait time until next line" also short and long lines are probably not proportionally comparable. 3-word-lines may be 1s to parse, but 30-word isn't 10s

I think in general loss of agency always makes me feel horrified. very effective for spooky stories. I can separate myself from self-inserting into Protagonists, however it always sucks when I see them be temporarily or permanently amnesiac, too. it incites some form of primal fear

the carousel made me remember and realize that Youtube also made their video thumbnails bigger recently, which means more time spent and more scrolling to see the same amount of information down the subscription page. awful. we do not need things to siphon our attention off adjacent things

ayep, good for them, but as said in closing, it does feel slightly concerning when it seems as if authors are pushed to make changes to please people. I still trust them when they say "this new one is better anyway" and still fits their vision. hoping this won't set a bad, snowballing precedent!

From out of all of that, comes the two most natural reasons for a UBI. One, it would give employees the freedom to not accept a particular job. Two, it would give employers more employees who actually believe in what the company is trying to do instead of people who are just in it for the money.
