Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 23/08/2026One of the special things in life, is being able to talk to a friend for five hours; and not run out of words. 031
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I have a brief sojourn in Europe, next month. In reality, I need a year or two, to see everyone I want to see. 030
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I so often sound like the very bad Indian version of Hugh Grant. 120
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Many moons ago, I used to host a monthly event, that was called the "ridiculously long lunch club". A dear friend has reminded me that it was 13 years since the first one. 160
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 19/08/2026I'm looking at visiting @sevillatapas.bsky.social in October; 6th and 7th. Anyone else for some fun and games? (and Sherry) 131
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 06/08/2026My planned trip back to the UK/Europe is getting progressively more silly. Trying to work out how to fit Ireland in; to see a friend with whom I've never finished a conversation. (but that's the Irish for you) 030
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 04/08/2026May I ask where the climate science brigade hang out here? I have questions. We, in the Bolivian Andes, are having the most bizarre Winter; daytime temps over the last few weeks have been above 30°C. I need to get a better understanding on the modelling of this new El Niño event. 153
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Top and tail. You can fill the middle later. I really need to re-focus on my trip back to Europe. 000
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 03/08/2026First world problems... I am heading back to Europe, in a few months. I want to see as many friends as I can do. The whole thing is like playing four dimensional chess. Obviously, the answer is, to let the Wookie win. However, I'm not a Wookie. 110
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I have never used a travel agent. But, there are times when I think they may be worth their weight in gold. (if you know the UK, we do not see guns on a regular basis). 140
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 30/07/2026I had forgotten how expensive, and how crap, most accommodation is in Amsterdam. Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 25/07/2026So... a question for you all... As some of you know, I currently live in Bolivia. Bolivia is on the axis of where tomatoes originated. They are part of our daily diet. There's a ubiquitous, spicy sauce, called "llaqua", which appears at every meal. 350
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 22/07/2026So... I said I was going to try to write a bit about Bolivian food. I shall start off with sopa de maní; peanut soup. There seems to be a real love of soups, throughout Latin America. There's even a chain in Lima called "Siete Sopas" (seven soups); though they only seem to ever serve three. 1143
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Absolute shocker here. We are well over 30°C and windy as all hell. The mountain, that I can see from my balcony, is on fire. 461

Anyway, do any of you know some good Spanish language zombie movies? 220
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 19/11/2025Table grape harvest in Luribay, today. This is Red Globe. It is in beautiful condition; but scarily early. We have already had one, very, early harvest with 25; I do not need an earlier one with 26. 181
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 19/11/2025Update on this... I talked to Max, yesterday evening. He is extending his stay in Luribay from 5 days... to at least 7. He is loving doing vineyard work; and he wants to learn more about agriculture, in general. I fear he may have gone native. Shame he doesn't do social media. 180
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 14/11/2025You know how once in your life, you need to get out of your comfort zone, and do something a little bit crazy... I've done that a few times in mine. I'm about to send a young, Irish chef (ex-Arzak) to go do some vineyard work, by proxy, in Luribay. I respect his ethic and insanity. 261

Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 14/11/2025With pizza, last night at Imilla Alzada. The 11 Lapostelle Chard, was incredible. Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Looks like I will be sending a young backpacker to Luribay, next week, to do some vineyard work on my behalf. Obviously, I would rather go myself; but just do not have the time. 000
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Luribay. Around 170km from La Paz, is a subtropical valley, at around 2,500m above sea level. Reputedly, it was the first location in Bolivia, that was planted to grapevines. Until the 1952 agrarian reform, the area was pretty much all vineyards. Now it is a lot of smallholding polycultures. 150
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Hello all. Been a very long time since I have visited this space. As I have a new winemaking project in the wings, seems like a good time to make contact again. 5120

Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 12/03/2025Truly, truly, the last fruit of the 2025 vintage. It will go into the solera for our Final Feliz. 1161

Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 06/03/2025Last pick for harvest 2025, today. It's the Moscatel de Alejandria for one of our whites. In 31 harvests, this has been the most intense. I'm back down to a weight (and waist size) I have not been since my 20s; no bad thing. The wines are looking amazing! 3101
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 03/03/2025Filling the press for our Rosado. Like last year, it's a total leap of faith. It's a field blend of bits and pieces from the San Roque vineyard. There's some Moscatel, some Blanca Redonda, some Vischoqueña, some Negra Criolla sin pepa, and a whole host of other stuff. 1141
Nayan Gowda (vinosity in days of yore) @vinosity.bsky.social · 23/02/2025Destemming Negra Criolla from Finca Lumen. We have worked with Doña Lumen since 2023, but this is our first time working with her Negra.
