Vivid memories growing up watching the Pavarotti: Live In Central Park special and thinking the boxed milk brand, Parmalat, my very Italian grandmother kept in her house really had some big time sway using the LED stained glass facade as a "disguise" for their big honking logo.

With the close of Showplace Bowling this week, it basically brings the slow death of the Travis ave lot in Staten Island to a close. Had to go and snap some final shots. (1/3)

A staple of 90s & early-2000s SI, it had my favorite movie theater, which closed in 2007 and became an LA Fitness, as well as a Wendy's, the bowling alley, pizzeria, pool hall, arcade. It was a pretty solid way to get dropped off at and spend a Saturday. (2/3)

Was watching the 98 ACC Championship game on YouTube and I think we forget just how good some dudes were. Antawan Jamison was the NCAA Player of the Year in 98 as a Junior and averaged an insane-for-college 22pts & 10.5reb on his way to his second ACC Tourney Championship with Vince Carter.
