A wonderful trip to Gloucester Cathedral this trip! I'd like to say that the length of time spent in there was purely cultural l, but it was also super lovely and cold on one of the hottest days!! Shout out to my poor friend who had to listen to me talk about cloisters for an hour🤣

Headed up to the Charterhouse on Wednesday for the Governor's Garden Party - a chance for staff, residents and volunteers to get together over some lovely food! A great evening (only slightly saddened by the football) - AND I got to pick up a copy of the brother's magazine which holds a piece by me!

had the best time at my first @imc-leeds.bsky.social! from talks to receptions and even at the disco, I was having amazing conversations and making connections which really, is what it's all about. so sad that we can't just talk about medieval history all day everyday anymore - bring on next year!

164 years ago, on the 4th of July 1862, Lewis Carroll created Alice in Wonderland for Alice Liddell, daughter of the Dean of Christ Church College, while on a boat trip on the river Isis in Oxford. Carroll (real name Charles Dodgson) was a mathematics lecturer at the college. #otd #history 🗃️
