We're in a timeline when the president of Sinn Féin of all political parties has just given a stronger condemnation of violence in Northern Ireland than the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Mary Lou McDonald, the Sinn Féin president, has said the “racist intimidation and violence” in Northern Ireland last night was “orchestrated by loyalist and far-right thugs”.

Speaking in the Irish parliament, McDonald said:

It was right that political leaders in the north came together to unequivocally condemn this attack and to call for the swift delivery of justice.

She then condemned the masked men and “organised mobs” who burned families out of their homes and said there were echoes of the pogroms on Bombay Street in Belfast in 1969. She said:

When we said that we would never allow anyone to be treated this way again we meant it, and we meant anyone, not Irish, not any community.

Nobody has the right to spread fear, to intimidate, to terrify innocent families, and we have a duty to communities to show political leadership to stand up for what is right.

These are the same people, by the way, who in July will burn Irish tricolours on the top of their bonfires — they need to be faced down, their organised racism needs to be faced down.

A reminder that the BNP 2005 wanted to regularise people, train them & even pay people to leave. This was considered horrific far right politics at the time - I'd suggest that this is now more liberal than current mainstream politics. news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp...
To ensure that we do not become a minority in our own homeland, and that the
native British peoples of our islands retain their culture and identity, we call for an
immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of all bogus
asylum seekers, all criminal entrants and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a
system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants and their descendants
who are legally here are afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic
origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the
countries in question. The First Phase: Voluntary Registration
Those illegal immigrants who truthfully declare their illegal status to the authorities
during the registration period will be able to claim, in the case of skilled and key
workers, extended leave to remain in the United Kingdom as long as they are
benefiting the UK economy and stay as residents until such time as we have had time
to train British personnel to replace them.
During this period we would also strive to provide these regularized illegal key
workers with extra training intended to increase their value to their home countries on
their return.
All other illegal immigrants, including visa over-stayers, casual workers and ex-
students will have one year to register their presence and assets they wish to
liquidate and take with them. Upon registration they will become entitled to free flights
home, and time before they leave to put their affairs here in order, including selling
property and other legally acquired assets so as to be able to take the full value of
their property (less any unpaid taxes and medical bills) with them when they and their
families return home. This voluntary registration policy will last for a year. There will be
no extensions.
Voluntary Registration cases will be dealt with by the Home Office through the Civil
Courts in the event of any disputes arising over asset liquidation.

Mental Wellbeing: Feelings and Emotions
Do I understand that mental wellbeing is a normal part of daily
life, in the same way as physical health?
Do I know that there is a normalrange of emotions (e.g., happiness,
sadness, anger, fear, surprise, nervousness) and scale of emotions
humans experience in relation to different experiences and
situations?
Can Irecognise and name feelings (anger, fear & worry)?
Do I know what makes me happy?
Do I know what to do if I feel sad?
Do Irecognise that behaviour affects others and that when I am
sad, I will feel better and how to enable me to achieve this?
Do I know it is okay to have bad feelings as long as I know ways to
feel happy again?
Do I understand that sometimes things will go the way we want
them to and othertime they won

The most frustrating thing about that "the real Britain" Starmer meme going around is that that whole section was stolen from @eddavey.libdems.org.uk's speech! But done worse. Here's the original & better version!
Screenshot reading:

Liberal Democrats are on the side of the British people.

Because unlike Farage, I actually love Britain. I’m proud of our country. There’s no doubt that a lot needs fixing. Crumbling hospitals and schools. Anaemic economic growth. The sewage in our rivers. Crime and anti-social behaviour. Dangerous Channel crossings. Deep inequalities that limit opportunity for young people. The housing crisis. The nature crisis. The climate crisis. The prison crisis. The cost-of-living crisis. All the challenges we’ve been discussing and debating here this weekend.

But we shouldn’t lose sight of the many incredible strengths this United Kingdom has going for it. The best farmers, carmakers and universities in the world. The place Hollywood comes to make Barbie, Spider-Man and Mission Impossible. The land of the Lionesses and the home of Formula One. Windermere and Loch Ness. Male Voice Choirs and Hogmanay. County shows and school fairs. Fish and chips. Village greens and cricket pavilions. And let me tell you – the best rollercoasters and waterslides on the planet.

So much to celebrate about our country.

But above all, our strength lies in the British people and our shared British values. We are a nation that believes in tolerance, decency, and respect for both individual freedom and the rule of law.

That is our United Kingdom.
