From what I see in my corporate job it’s basically a given that they fully intend to get rid of the jobs that AI can do. Just like every other technological revolution before, they won’t pause upgrading to new tech for the sake of saving people’s jobs. I really only see a UBI as the only safeguard

But it’s okay because the main party member survives and gets a ton of experience points to make him over leveled for when he returns to his home town

Exactly. Who is supposed to be supporting him if it were only a “stepping stone” job? Every minimum wage job I worked subsidized it’s low pay through me relying on my parents high income to support me. Not everyone has that.

My boycott is if they’ll include a disc drive I’ll get a PS6. If they don’t I won’t. Indefinitely. If enough people did that it would change the calculation of the business sense to include or exclude the disc drive. I was never an Xbox guy but I wonder if project Helix will have one.

Mid 20s~ I know but only by sheer luck. My Dad was familiar with the Blade movies and showed off the trailers for them a few years ago when the MCU was going multiversal. I really doubt I would have organically have been exposed to it

From the Church’s perspective God is the absolute ruler of the Church and the Pope is the Prime Minister to God the King. People will think that they are like political parties and will adjust policy accordingly, but the point of the Pope from their view is to hold to God’s will.

Showed up in my recommendations back in summer 2014. The title intrigued me; I believe it was Johnny Vs. Majoras Mask. I was like “Who is this guy who’s gonna give MM a hard time?” I then saw your Crash Bandicoot videos, and you were in the middle of your 3D Mario Marathon. I was hooked from then on

Today marks the 15th anniversary of my Versus series, the main bread and butter of my channel. I'll be properly celebrating throughout the year, but today, I'd like to say from the bottom of my heart: Thank You. This train ain't stopping anytime soon, but I'm surprised it's ran this long.

A screengrab showing that my first Versus video, Johnny vs. Super Mario Bros. has turned 15 years old as of today.

I’m not a parent but I had to delete Facebook over stuff like that. Why am I, a college educated person whose facebook friends are likewise college educated, forced a feed of anti science crap against vaccines, climate change, etc. If Facebook isn’t banned, this issue will not be fixed.

There was a brief time in the comics (after the Tobey movies) where he had organic webs, so I hope this is just temporary. I like Spiderman being a combination of his powers and his inventions. Agreed on his friends, probably happening since it’s been 5 years so tough to wait longer for them.

I mean that’s kind of the lesson of Catholicism. “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. Once you’re ready to forgive yourself and accept forgiveness from others, you have to be at least willing to forgive those who wronged you.

I’ve only seen them double down. “You dare criticize the president during a time of war?! Do you not care about the lives of the troops!? It’s time we start taking away democrat’s rights to vote. We’re in a time of war”. They absolutely intend for Trump to be in office in 2029.

With inflation it was amazing that $60 was standard as it was for so long. When I started working and was at minimum wage it would have taken 6 hours to earn a game. With minimum wage now and assuming a $70 game, it would only take 5 hours. Not that I like prices increasing, I’m just not surprised.

I primarily used Discover until last year, only once did I run into a merchant besides Costco that didn’t take it, and it was online. It’s really popular now, the idea that you won’t be able to use Discover is an old one that people still believe despite the contrary. Even Amex has decent coverage

I’d love for the timeline to be updated to keep my place in the feed when I return to the app and pull it down to refresh. I like to read in order of the posts being posted, so this would save the need to scroll back down and find my place. A certain extinct blue bird did it that way

It may be against policy to hang up, but there is no US law that obliges them to not hang up, so long as they are not denying service through discriminating against a recognized class.
