Movie Buzz Beta is now live! Starting with a small batch of 50 testers. Still early days so a lot of rough edges but the core algorithm of the app is up and running. As you can see it’s a truly global app, that adapts to your preferences. testflight.apple.com/join/yKTaTtpT

How Apple could keep the bottom search bar in iOS 26.4 without disturbing the flat navigation hierarchy. This also solves the problem of multiple tabs having their own search bar (which right now go on top of the screen)

When someone makes an AI friend app or a life recording locket or AR Glasses with a video capture camera; I wonder if the designers considered the impact of any unintended consequences of their products . Wrote about designing emerging tech here: blog.viditb.com/designing-em...

My trilogy of Design Frameworks for designing in emerging technologies. You can peruse or download all of them here: blog.viditb.com/frameworks-f...

A framework illustrating the design of emerging technologies. Highlights complex systems of interconnected problems, methods for design interventions, and transformation of products into platforms. Emphasizes tech solutions within social systems. Created by Vidit Bhargava.

Framework of Action Centered Design. Top section shows context influencing wants and needs. Middle highlights tools aiding actions, including bikes and scissors. Bottom covers output mediums like screens and speakers. Side text explains action-centered design principles and examples.

Framework on contextual computing. It illustrates tangible and intangible context and emphasizes shared understanding for better UX. Concepts include bounded context, asking follow-ups, and failing gracefully. The framework aims to improve human-computer interactions.

These aren’t examples of great emerging technology design. They’re simply well made hardware interaction design projects. Thinking that only this is emerging tech is the first misstep in making products that don’t succeed.

Shiuli is out now on the App Store! Shiuli makes it easy to make any image accessible, through alt-text which can be accessed from any where. It’s the first alt text editor that also works with Visual Intelligence and Apple Shortcuts! apps.apple.com/in/app/shiul...

Made some fun, interactive loading states in LookUp. They feel like they’re gliding atop of liquid glass. With AI sometimes the speed of output can be slower than traditional API calls and no one likes to keep waiting, but if one must, might as well have some fun with it! 🙃
