We have the answer! #GTA6 will be coming May 26, 2026. Yes, 2026, not 2025. Excited to see all the bets collected on today. And looking forward to other games finally knowing when they can release this fall through next spring.

Screen capture of Rockstar Games post about Grand Theft Auto VI. It reads as follows:

Grand Theft Auto VI is Now Coming May 26, 2026
May 2, 2025
Hi everyone,

Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026.

We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game.

With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.

We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.

Sincerely,
Rockstar Games

Wrapped up MITechCon yesterday and reminded me just how much I love speaking and engaging with the developer community. What a fantastic 2-day conf in Michigan.

Writing has been on the wall for years, but Skype is formally dying in May. Is it sad or a sigh of relief adding it to microsoftgraveyard.com? I'm not sure.

Wrapped up a full completion of Eternal Strands last night. A lot of satisfaction cleaning up colossal foes like dragons and great arks and the characters along the way were great. Oria, Casmyn, Dahm? Breakout hit from Yellow Brick and I'm so excited to see what they do next.

Happy French Frye Friday! This week has been refamiliarizing myself with Docker, OpenAI services, and there's trending media about DeepSeek? Might say it's all about the whales.

Started this weekend and just finished the main story one of my favorite indie finds: Tails of Iron. Soulslikes? 2D? Rats?? Somehow combos for a top tier 10h experience. Next, the DLC.

Today is all about final review before my next exam and a new game! Harold Halibut vs Azure Data Fundamentals

First game completion and it's a 💯 and top tier game: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown!! Solidified my love of metroidvanias. Was a bit challenging and one or two bugs in the DLC, but makes me even more upset Ubisoft broke up this team. Such a masterpiece.

This year is off to an unfortunate start. The Meta platform exodus, the Palisades fire in LA, and so many colds. That said, there's some good things cooking for the future still and happy moments to be found. 2025 is just beginning. Happy French Fry Friday, everyone.

I decided to test BlueSky as my primary microblogging social platform this week. Means I moved the app to the former Threads spot to verify if I'll enjoy this like Threads based on muscle memory usage. Your turn bsky.

2024 has been an amazing year for gaming. With Fallout 4 Next-Gen update, Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox launch, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard I forget how much RPG awesomeness I've enjoyed this year.

Victor Frye @victorfrye.com · 02/12/2024

My Rook finally reached act 2 in Dragon Age. The Grey Warden Warrior fantasy is so well done. Haven't enjoyed the gameplay like this since DA:O and honestly the story has me. My secrets to success: 💪🏻 the heaviest armor + biggest shield 🛡️ perfect block everything 💣 firebombs! 🎭 Humor solves the rest

Counting down until a social media app launches feels weird. Anticipating a Meta product also feels weird?
