History of Sakura Wars Famitsu covers. I love the Gemini and Ratchet so much. They’re just walking the pin-up girl line in a way you don’t usually get from SW promotional art.

one of the best decisions you can make as an artist is to stop talking about your artwork from a position of defending it. the artists statement should be a tool of pride, community, and conversation, not an appeal to those who had no interest in (or ability to) understand it in the first place.

maybe stating the obvious but i wish more people would articulate that the sort of "let people enjoy things" "don't go after my favs" consumerist fandom landscape where any sense of alternative has been quashed as anything but hyper-niche is directly and inextricably tied into us also having fascism

Picked up some horror-JRPG reading for the season. Hopefully this was the extra thirty bucks they needed to finish the game.

Its only day one of ranked season but if I can stay in the top ~20 Iroha players I’d be pretty happy. Fuga>Choun against all the new Kuja players has me in a nice win streak

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy ranking screen showing me in 6th place for Iroha players. Its still only day one though so like chill out Victor. Last night after maintenance I spent an hour in 2nd place.

I feel like there's a "rot" in the voiceover industry right now. It's something that's probably always been there, but I think it's been progressively getting worse. There's this strange attitude that can basically be summed up as, "F*ck y'all. I got mine." And I'd like to talk about it. 🧵

Translation patches aren't a fucking checklist for flag planting. Demands for "fluency" and "technical chops" aren't gatekeeping. Anyone who learns the skills is welcome to contribute. If you bypass them, you're just having a tantrum at the expense of the original devs and foreign players. Piss off.

Just wanna live in a timeline again where people don't """contribute""" to the retro game community by offering games up to the altar of Sam Altman in the hopes of getting noticed by the lame YouTuber who is more obnoxiously proud of his BDE pun than he should be. Is that too much to ask for lol

I’ll add that low-to-medium-budget Japanese theatre has mastered the art of projection in a way that we seem to refuse to over here. It’s perceived as cheap or a cop-out in the West but I’ve seen a 50-seat black box in a Shinjuku basement transformed by smart projection and economical set design
