After all of the drama with the broken ferry, we were treated to a double rainbow over the Bay Bridge.

Happy Anniversary to the time the Encinal had a blown engine at the Ferry Building and the captain thought he'd try to sail us all to the East Bay anyway. We spun around and around and around in the Bay (engines are sort of important for steering, so one engine gone = spin-a-rama). 1/4

Looking out of the bow of the Encinal as it was spinning away from the Bay Bridge back toward San Francisco.

A San Francisco Fire Department Tug, called Provider," came to our rescue and gently nudged the Encinal back to the Ferry Building.

Charlie’s glucose test didn’t go quite as smooth. He’s not really into staying still while I poke his ear and it was hard to see what I was doing. Got it eventually. 464 yesterday and 388 today, so I guess I didn’t mess up his insulin injection after all.

Peter Lorre pretty much ate every scene he was in. I LOVED the book growing up and was so excited when my office in San Francisco was a block from the spot where Miles Archer was offed by Miss Wonderly (there's a plaque)!

I have some editing to do today but couldn’t resist a #SlowStartSunday. I have been creating my own little outside sanctuary over the summer.
