iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

If you think that I am over reacting, I would point at the devastation in temperate Britain this Summer; now imagine what it is like in the war ravaged tropics. Mass migration is underway.

020

As a moral person I would say we should be part of a European & Commonwealth effort to help these people. However I cant actually see people doing that. My point though is that nothing these Government's of either flavour can do will stop them coming. The migrants choice is come or die.

AND when are people and the Government going to learn that there is no British or European solution that can solve this. Its just a symptom of the Crisis. The solution is to solve the problems driving them from home in mortal fear in the first place. Till then they will just keep comming ;-)

Time I bought some new clothes. Looking at Facebook memories I realise that I am wearing the same outfit today that I was wearing in 2018 at the Kent Rare Breeds Farm. The same T-shirt, shorts, hat and sandals ;-)

How quickly your life can turn; a bit of a senior moment. Tripped on the pavement going shopping. My hands couldn't break my fall & my chin hit the pavement; harder than I have ever been hit before. Two ladies & Elizabeth helped me up & back to the house for treatment before going out again :-)

Commonwealth Games opened in Glasgow? BBC this morning hidden at the bottom of the page! Commonwealth Leaders were there including our PM. These are our main allies in the Environmental Crisis. They are looking for British Leadership. The largest political block in the world; our Global Community.

It would be a disaster of existential proportions to make Ed Miliband Chancellor; the job he is doing at Energy is the most important one in Government right now and he is doing it amazingly well. Why do Labour take Ministers from post who do a good job like Lammy Defence & Rainer on Housing?

AND the BBC Management is beyond useless. A point of view I share with many, confirmed by them throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Somebody needs to sack the lot of them whilst we still have a BBC; its the journalists who are the national silverware.

Vici @vicibox.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

I think the last one I got was just before the Covid lockdown.

Vici @vicibox.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

It's true. Help ma boab. I used to get a Broons or Oor Wullie album every Xmas. I have a whole shelf of them on the landing. It was true when I was a child as well - giggles ;-)

When are any of them going to understand the actual high court ruling; didn't cover any of this rubbish as Lords pointed out. Only the specific case of maternity benefit covering the natal mothers that can actually bear children. It said nothing about the existing body of law which EHRC violates.

Don't you know; my life used to be in turmoil? Don't you know; I used to write Poetry to make sense of my senseless existence? I survived!!! We don't go down without a fight guys - winks ;-)

This makes me cry; it encapsulates our global crisis. This brave little Giraffe looking out at a hostile world. I thought she was in quarantine with 2 adults; the rest of the wonderful Marwell herd grazing. No this was the herd. Our elders & Profs have blown it. Wake up humanity #6thMassExtinction

Worse it will also disadvantage children and damage computer infrastructure; massive policy change implementation using a blunt instrument. It's the blind leading the blind as usual.

I think the World Cup is the most important event going on in the world this Summer (Boston Police Officer showing the world that their current US stereotypes are completely wrong www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrfo... ). People around the world need reassuring that the real America is still there ;-)

It is time we axed this insane bureaucracy. The NHS is first rate but suffering under incompetent Government Management. This results is missed & inappropriate appointments due to removal of clinical local control. If I was still auditing Public Services I would severely apply the axe ;-)

My Memoirs seized up & hard to see me achieving any kind of finished product. A new approach was needed. I have constructed a framework of Indexes to take Chapters rewritten as dated Essays to be dropped in on completion. That way my Memoirs are always both a work in progress & a completed document.

With Digital Sovereignty accelerating in Europe it is vital that the Gov doesn't use a blunt instrument; legislation must target social media platforms. The global switch from US Tech platforms to EU & national Open Source solutions Britain would be severely damaged by a blanket tech requirement.

Vici @vicibox.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

So what did I think? This; we are trying to stick plasters over symptoms and not tackling root causes. All things lead back to greed. We have to build communities and link them together and eliminate greed as we build. A stable sustainable world can not accommodate greed ;-)

Vici @vicibox.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

Just off to Quaker Meeting to think; I will think on this today ;-)

Vici @vicibox.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

It will never happen. The US economy is falling into the abyss. They are already closing down vital space earth-monitoring programs. America is the most bankrupt country in the world and the global bankers are taking back their investments. The rest of the world wont fund it during this crisis.

Facebook tells me that today 6yrs ago I picked up my new Sony A7MkII from Waitrose/John Lewis and, I have to say, that I was delighted with it so, its a true Pandemic Camera. Paired here with my Samyang 24mm f2.8 ;-)

P.S. Perhaps I should clarify that as a Government Scientist who has had every document stamped Top Secret, I have always taken computer security seriously; it's just that I have only had a home computer since 2003 when I bought a laptop ;-)
