Parading since 1981, this Black Mardi Gras krewe brings Bay St. Louis together: ‘Real slice of MS’
When this Bay St. Louis krewe began more than 40 years, money was tight and riders made their own throws out of chicken wire. Today, it is larger than ever and the parade still rolls down its original route in historic Back-a-Town.
“It means so much to me for us to keep it going. If we don’t, it’s very possible that it fades, and a big parade would no longer exist. This has been a part of my life forever.”
