He is singing ‘1000 bottles of shoopuf milk’ on the wall in his head. And he’s just lost count at 920 something. At least this was my artistic intent. #zines #finalfantasy #ffx

Ok I’m on a mission to study and improve my art style by at least 50% by the end of this year. I want to impress myself. I want to look at my art and think more than “this looks ok”

Got back from my first Distant Worlds~ I met nice friends and Battle With Seymour was the best piece of the night. I have now justified keeping an instruction booklet from a 25 year old game.

Here at #distantworlds ready 2 cry as soon as they play anything from FF9.

And this seems timely too, I participated in this coming zine for the #ffx anniversary

I just went to my first ever sport game this weekend. It was the Australian rules football. There were a lot of men running around, and when they jumped on each other on the ground everyone would yell “ball”. I have no idea what was happening but my dad’s team won so that’s nice.

I managed to colour in most of the Jojo art, but I’d like to do another 2 fan arts at least for the con… and I’m soooo tempted to draw moon child and cookies bustle at this stage so I need some proper ideas.

And this is no shade on the convention itself. I love it, the community is great. But we are so underfunded. The state is big on supporting art, but I wish the gov would give the pop culture scene a bit of a boost, too.

020

Vervain @vervainvanity.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

I’m prepping for the 1 lonely little convention I can access in person! I’m also doing my first panel. I hope people show up… I do love living on this little island, but at times I wish I lived on the mainland so I could go to bigger in person events for art and the like. It’s… limiting.

About them: "I'm Vervain, a coffee drinking creature who draws sometimes. I know how to kill skeletons."

The background is dark, almost black; some mako smoke can be seen on the upper left and lower right corner.

I got my account back open on Tapas and made a comic fury! I think I’ll focus on these two places for the moment until I build up page volume again. Tapas has the novel feature which is also super handy.

I’m putting apocrypha on comic fury this weekend. Is tapas or webtoon worth it? I know webtoon is scuffed but it’s popular right?? Aaaa
