Low key. I don't get much time to myself this weekend so I'd rather not spend what little free time I have getting dragged into 5 hours of convo and being hostage to it. I want to go read my manga. Eat. Draw. Watch the new season of Apothecary diaries and then sleep in preparation foe tomorrow.

Why is it that the week I decide I want to do some overtime, everyone needs me at home after work for one reason or another asap? Like.... you couldn't have bothered me last week? Jfc. I already leave earlier than most people too bc I come in earlier than most.

I didn't want to retype. BUT YOOOOOOO. Just got to Vil's dream in Chapter 7! But aaaah 🥺 that 7 dwarves building is where Baby Clef's disney journey began. I have fond memories of my mom taking me to see that building from the outside of the studio.

random encounters exist because the combat is fun you are supposed to enjoy it, if you dont enjoy it you should be playing a different video game, i dont understand how this conversation keeps happening

This is part of what I'm referring to with many people demanding stories that reassure them they're a good person. They want the moral instruction because otherwise, rather than processing the reading experience, there's a thrum of "am I bad? am I bad? what if someone finds out I'm bad?"

Tumblr post by graftini:

stories about abuse are allowed to exist without reducing themselves to moral instruction. i think sometimes when people complain about the “romanticization” of abuse, what they're actually objecting to isn't necessarily the way abuse is being represented, but the fact that the representation doesn't provide them with constant moral reassurance. like, there is a difference between “this story frames abuse as desirable or inherently romantic” and “this story depicts abuse in an erotic/ambiguous/complicated way and doesn't repeatedly tell me that abuse is bad, therefore the depiction itself is irresponsible.”
