*sigh* If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it. If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it. If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you. I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.

Fuck Trump and everyone who voted for him. They're dismantling the US Forest Service.

Love this from Guillermo del Toro

“Be kind, be involved, believe in your art,” he said. “At a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always the prelude to fascism. When they tell you it doesn’t matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if it’s that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.”

Bandcamp lets us keep 85% of revenue. That is the best rate of anybody out there. Over a period of about 15 years, I have taken home ~$3000. Every album is "pay what you want", so you all rock. If you bought an album for $5 then you gave me more than streaming the whole album ~300 times.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Political cartoon showing a line of dominos. The first one is labeled Trans Rights and has a blue-pink-white trans flag painted on it and is tilting. Three people (representing a trans man, trans woman, and person wearing rainbow colors) are pushing back to keep it from falling. Behind it the second domino is labeled "Gay Rights" and "Freedom of Expression" and has a couple, one member of who is pulling the other from behind the domino and walking towards the first domino. The 3rd one "Women's Rights" and "Free Love", a woman is pointing and shouting to rally others behind the domino to come forwards, the 4th one " Free Speech" and "Democracy" and has people peering out from behind it as well as two people running forwards with a piece of lumber, the 5th one "Freedom of Religion" and "Modernity", and has a few people nervously peeking out from behind it, the 6th one is "Literacy". Dominos 7-10 are unlabeled and faded out in the background.

Text on bottom: "United we stand, Divided we fall"
