I can only speak for myself ofc but I followed this guy on YouTube still because I didn't really know anything about him beyond his content. First I've heard of this story but definitely unfollowing and making a mental note to steer clear. I wonder if a lot of others also just don't know.

Nothing against it, I want to learn but there must just be a certain type of person who is built different (poorly, incorrectly, me) because I’ve tried several times to learn and I just can’t wrangle all the rules and win conditions at once. It confounds me every time.

I chose Mahjong o7. I wish I knew how to actually play but the minute I learn anything about the various win conditions every other rule I’ve learned about the game drips out the other ear apparently. Still managed a win by following the auto suggestions.

I'm a bit torn. I agree that we shouldn't settle for a minimum viable product and slap a thumbs up on it just because the turd was polished real nice; but on the other hand I don't wanna shame anyone who does genuinely enjoy something even if I find it vapid and shallow.

I can see that, though funny enough I didn't vibe with Megabonk because I felt like it was so close to a normal roguelike action hack and slasher that I just wanted it to give me full control.

I think this is the issue I run up against with survivors-type games. I very much enjoyed VS and others like BallxPit but the genre feels like a dead end in a way. It’s so stripped down there’s not much you can do to evolve or expand it aside from adding features of other genres back in.

I mean surely it depends on the person? Like I was a teen in the 90s and yeah I went to a house party here and there but I never went to a club as a teen, and I mostly had hangouts with my small group of friends as the original poster said they do. I say that fondly too, I never got the club appeal.

Like it feels like an early access title that I would wait for 1.0 to play, but I think look outside is version 2.X at this point. On the other hand it’s hard to be mad about a great game adding more great. So yeah, very torn.

My GOTY also, though I am torn on the model of constant tweaks and additions. I devoured this game back in January, all 200+ achievements etc but I sort of regret it because I would rather have waited until it was fully complete. Might just be my play style though.

Eventually we did end up painting a few of the rooms black or some accent walls black or patterned. Our color and flavor comes from the art and decoration that we put up. I’m sick of being told I’m bland because I don’t want bright colors in my face everyday.

Am I the only one who isn’t offended by this stuff? We painted our interiors a medium gray because we didn’t want the off-white of our childhood houses but felt going all black (like we truly wanted) would have been a bit too extreme.

I try my best to always support physical Indies, but it's hard to track them sometimes. Plenty of times I find out too late there was a limited release of a game I really wanted to play.

I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.

Rising costs would have made a PS6 prohibitively expensive anyway but at least now with this move I don’t have to be so bummed that I can’t afford one. Retro games and PC only going forward I guess.

I play both PS5 and PC games but I broadly prefer buying games on PlayStation when physical is an option. I refuse to buy a new console If it doesn’t support physical games so Sony can eat it with this shit. I’ll just stick to my old games and PC then. Backlog is long enough.
