Mace is bad and dumb and I should not be exposed to it at the end of my late night photo gig

Vernacularshift @vernacularshift.bsky.social · 22h

They have "Tear You Apart," from She Wants Revenge on at this gig. And boy, as a person who was in college when it came out, that's a blast from the past. I like intense post-punky stuff sometimes

It seems like there are a lot of demons in Buffy and Angel that don't do too much for the plot, and are just kind of like background aliens from Voyager or Deep Space 9. Random dudes with prosthetic makeup can add background spice to an alien planet in sci fi, but feels worse in fantasy horror

My buddy assumed I would not like Chat Pile. I assumed he was right. Then I tested our assumption and was pleasantly surprised that we were both wrong.

There's a guy on the patio with a "this is the darkest timeline," shirt. I get despair for how many things have gone wrong, and a fun sense of fantasy imagining a better timeline. But as a grump, I want to say it's the only timeline we have access to, and we have to work to make it better.

Give me a time machine, and I won't try to break history. Instead I will accidentally break history doing these things: 1. Show an ancient bureaucrat how to use Vlookup 2. Give a snack to an early synapsid mammal ancestor 3. Play Robyn's Dancing On My Own (in translation) for a medieval town

Twin Cities people - I'm going to start doing monthly pay what you want headshots. Half donated to a cause. Minimum payment is $10. Please signal boost, and if you can suggest local orgs doing mutual aid, please do. So far I'm thinking Smitten Kitten or similar. www.instagram.com/p/DdzgrfTJbn...

I briefly thought I wanted to see a high budget live action adaptation of Planescape Torment. Then I thought about what's magical about it, and realized that it works better as a text heavy, choice heavy video game than it ever could as a series

Squirrels are smart and can live to be 20 years old. Eventually one of the local squirrels is going to figure out that when I wave or vaguely try to get out of their way, that I'm showing myself to be non threatening. Then that squirrel will teach the younglings. Then I feast
