Is it best to surrender all Earthly desires, perhaps live life in a satisfactory autopilot, or is the unexamined life truly not worth living. Should we choose suffering for the sake of experience and gamble for happiness... and what would be the precarious balance between?

Keep fighting. Don't give up the fight, whether it's quiet or deafening right now. Haven't all of our heroes shown us that any person and any action could end up making all the difference?

Mostly I have very complex feelings about the human race in its totality But sometimes I can't help but see us all as these bumbling infants who barely know what they're doing -- just reliving patterns and needing for softness, understanding, sustenance, and warmth.

I wonder how history will be able to accurately mirror how horrifyingly aware we are of what's going on and flabbergasted that it's just continuing... everyone's gonna wonder why it took so long to rise up, but like... the cops have tanks? idk man. You gotta be willing to die for every inch.

Y'know what... YEARS from now -- decades When the incredible harm, death, criminality, and genuinely inhuman cruelty of these times are just a memory and a warning... The memes and impressions of this horrible orange disease are gonna go crazy

Did you all play pretend with your friends/siblings growing up with really elaborate storylines and continuity and stuff? It was very dreamlike. Just thinking back -- it was like something always stopped us in the middle of imagination and just like a dream it barely had a beginning or end. idk.

Daily bunny no.3446 is not left-handed

Bunnies re-enact the duel between Inigo and Wesley in "The Princess Bride", with a masked bunny fighting against a dashing shaggy bunny with a gold sword. The masked bunny is cornered, near the edge of a rocky cliffside, but still has a trick up his sleeve

Finally pursuing a diagnosis for my chronic pain after 7yrs It took forever to find someone who takes my insurance Today they spent 2 minutes prodding me in the exam room, asked me basically no questions, and prescribed a sleep aid + exercise... US healthcare.

How courageous of you to elaborate upon the matter without letting boorish little things like accuracy or nuance slow you down!

You gotta break little rules and train yourself to say "no" a little more often to foster a rebellious spirit if you can't rebel on the little things, you may not have it in you to stand up against larger forms of oppression. Build it up like a muscle!

There are many larger, more heartbreaking, downsides to fibro... like the loss of self, future, work, activity, health, experiences, etc etc but one that's PARTICULARLY annoying me right now is that there is simply NO comfortable way to read a book. Every position hurts my neck, wrists, or back😠

I know it's more for the people left behind, but at funerals I don't like the idea of being buried in an expensive suit... give 'em a cushy pillow and a nice blanket. Maximum cozy. Ideally everything biodegradable, maybe a bunch of seeds and plant nutrients in there

Despite what schools and your parents have beaten into your psyche -- obedience is not a virtue. The lion's share of evil done in the world can be traced back, in fact, to obedience. You MUST cultivate in yourself and others a questioning and rebellious spirit.

Love is often hidden in the littlest things. If you look for it, it's everywhere. If your fellow humans are having trouble finding it, try showing them some. Love shared is love grown; never lost.

"You keep asking why Your work is not enough, and I do not know how to answer that, Because it is enough to exist in the world and marvel at it. You don't need to justify that, or earn it. You are allowed to just live. That is all most animals do." - A Psalm for the Wild-Built, Becky Chambers

I am 100% behind the theory that Toto's Africa is about a werewolf trying to cure their lycanthropy -- not bc I think that was the intention of the writers, but bc the lyrics make sense and I love it.

We MUST foster in future generations that which I've seen lacking in many peers: a truly rebellious spirit willing to question and deny those in control. Punitive school systems crush this, but we must encourage mistakes and curiosity... autonomy and courage

Realizing I need to work on my mental health again bc my reaction/latent confusion after hanging out w so many cool peeps has been "Why do they all like me? I'm nothing!" And catching yourself saying that is like... yikes So idk, more healing to be done. Maybe I'm okay. I'm... "witty," at least

It's baffling that we're fighting ourselves, globally, because of a handful of greedy sociopaths. I'd bet that the ~majority~ understands that we're truly one people, sharing our one home: Earth. ...but somehow we're letting like 100 out of 8 billion turn us into our worst selves. Unconscionable..

Do you think we'd be wiser if we lived longer? Like a tortoise -- 300yrs, 500 maybe? The world makes a little more sense to me when I imagine humanity more as frightened little infants who've yet to fully grasp their impact, mature into their responsibility, or imagine their potential.
