Judbarra-Gregory NP, east Kimberley NT, has had another tough year. This is the fourth largest National Park in Australia, almost a quater of the Park has burnt so-far. This is comming of the back of close to half burning in 2025. surprised to see some of this country burning in successive years.

64 years ago, on the 27th of September 1962, Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring was published. It handled the environmental harm caused by the pesticide DDT and the disinformation spread by the chemical industry. Carson managed to sway public opinion and even policy. #otd #history 🗃️
