Just wrote and deleted a diatribe about this but it boils down to: 1) this is literally what MAGA claims to do, it's just the things they claim are scams are, like, social goods And 2) although few like being scammed I think many people would like to keep scams bc they want to be the scammer

3) We need coalition. There are non-negotiables in building coalition, ofc - I'm not working with white supremacists, for example. But there will be stress tests on the need for coalition that will be complicated and uncomfortable but don't change the fact that we may need unpleasant alliances

So if the establishment doesn't endorse, it's a problem. If the establishment does endorse, it's a problem. Going back to my original issue, I think it's more important for some of these online leftists to be outsiders than to ever actually have progressives take the halls of power.
