I sure do wish wow housing had personal saves that didn't rely on import codes so I didn't have to re-assign over 30 pet beds and find them one by one on the decor list. It is a little daunting to think about every time I want to swap my interior off for a different set piece to use/work on

The Trump administration has dramatically ramped up the sale of America’s federally protected wild horses, and a NYT investigation found that some are ending up in the slaughter pipeline. The BLM rounds up wild mustangs from public lands and places them up for adoption or sale.

You can spare a supremacist in this fantasy world setting because she might become a rallying point for w/e reason, but if you're an indigenous character seeking even an ounce of vengeance you must lose your hair and die.

It's crazy how warcraft's retail rp scene has stalkers and harassers that very clearly break ToS and the social contract, but nothing happens to them. Two well known instances on WRA, still on their bullshit regardless of reports.

👨‍🚒🐦 This is the Birdhist way. 🙏 Thank you to all the firefighters who put their lives on the line to save both people and critters. We can't save every bird, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best for the one right in front of us, just like this firefighter did. #birdart #pigeon

🎆 💔 A sketch inspired by the event in Beebe, AK, where an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 Red-winged Blackbirds died due to professional-grade fireworks. The sound startled them into mass flight, causing them to collide with buildings, trees, and other objects in the dark. #birds #sketch #4thofjuly

It's Endangered Species Day and I'm here to highlight the struggles of parrots in particular. These intelligent, social buddies have to contend with habitat destruction, wildlife trafficking, climate change, the exotic pet trade, and more. parrots.org/about-wpt/sa... #birds #endangeredspeciesday

Endangered species day

Parrots are disappearing

Parrots are among the most threatened bird groups on Earth. Over 1 in 3 parrot species are threatened with extinction due to:

• Agricultural expansion
• Wildlife trafficking
• Climate change
• Invasive species
• Deforestation
• The exotic pet trade

Some are already gone

These parrots are extinct forever:

Martinique Amazon
Guadeloupe Amazon
Dominican Green & Yellow Macaw
Jamaican Green & Yellow Macaw
Jamaican Red Macaw
Lesser Antillean Macaw
Cuban Macaw
Guadeloupe Parakeet
Carolina Parakeet
Raiatea Parakeet
Black-fronted Parakeet
Mauritius Grey Parrot
Broad-billed Parrot/Mauritius Parrot
Mascarene Parrot
Rodrigues Parrot
Norfolk Kaka
Beautiful Parakeet/Paradise Parrot
Newton's Parakeet
Seychelles Parrot

CAROLINA PARAKEET
Went extinct by roughly 1918–1939 due to a combination of rapid human-driven pressures, including mass hunting for the feather trade, widespread destruction of forests, and direct eradication by farmers who viewed them as agricultural pests.

THE PET TRADE HURTS WILD PARROTS

Not all captive parrots come from ethical sources. Wild parrots are still trapped and trafficked illegally around the world. Many die during capture and transport.

Even responsibly bred parrots face another crisis:

Parrots can live decades
Rescues are overflowing
Many birds are repeatedly rehomed

Parrots are someONEs not someTHINGs

HOW YOU CAN HELP

You can make a difference

Support parrot rescues & conservation groups
Never buy illegally imported birds
Research before rescuing a parrot
Support community-lead eco-tourism
Share educational info with others
Advocate for stronger wildlife protections

Saving parrots begins with people deciding that birds deserve better.

Keep wild animals wild.

DISCLAIMER
Don’t randomly release exotic pets outdoors. Abandoned parrots may starve, be killed, recaptured, spread disease, or become labeled invasive with little legal protection.

If you cannot care for an exotic pet, contact a rescue or sanctuary.

@support.blizzard.com I've been noticing some odd activity on the forums lately where someone gets rightfully flagged for a trolling post, their post marked ignored, and then they edit it with nothing changed to the content and the ignored mark is gone. This post has over 5 edits, is this intended?

Sometimes I want to write indepth about the disservice wow does in flip flopping on whether the Loa are the same as the wild gods or not, but then it feels weirdly like this should have been written about before or already understood if people were actually.. doing their research? Idk.

A greenjay bird points at itself with a foot, claw extended, eyes welling up with emotion as it stares at a birthday cupcake on a plate, with a candle lit. It is very safe for birds, especially greenjays in this context. The text above the greenjay says: Is for me?

🪶 HOW TO HELP: 💙 Support conservation programs 💙 Avoid the illegal pet trade/adopt don't shop 💙 Protect habitats 💙 Spread Awareness #birdart

💙 The Hyacinth Macaw, the world’s largest flying parrot, is holding on but threatened by habitat loss and the pet trade.

💙 The Blue-throated Macaw is critically endangered, with only a few hundred left in the wild, surviving in a tiny corner of Bolivia.

💙 The Spix’s Macaw, once extinct in the wild, reintroduced, with only about 11 birds flying free and ALL recently affected by Psittacine Beak & Feather Disease.
