Fairy Queen Illustration for the upcoming book "The King of Nobody" by Brandon D. R. Reynoso

The artwork depicts the fairy queen in emerald and malachite armor with the wings of a monarch butterfly. She holds a white sword with levitating elements and gemstones. A crown of emerald diamonds floats above her blonde hair. The fairy is surrounded by fantastical creatures and a gothic frame around the edges of the image.

The Cat noticed you

This is a work in progress of an art piece, with elements of SAI interface.
There is a woman with cat-like appearance, black hair and cat ears. She wears shiny silver glove with claws, leather jacket and pants. In the bottom right corner there is a close up of her mouth with sharp teeth and big tongue. In the middle there is two small blue panthers, made from surrealistic smoke-like matter. Around woman there is metallic shapes and ornaments, floating on alebaster background. Woman looks playful, but dangerous and mysterious.

You don't actually NEED to have intent on improving your art, studying or being "good" at it. If it makes you happy to just draw your ocs on blank backgrounds then do it. Your art style will evolve naturally and you'll just latently pick up stuff along the way.

To all artists around the world. Don't forget the OC you created when you were 12! Remake them! Give them a modern update! That character is practically your firstborn. So dig up that fossil and polish it.

level 9 portrait! unraveling a bit (literally) while trying to keep everyone in the party alive. [OC: Dr. Petrichor Artz, Curse of Strahd + homebrew #NewtsOCs #SheIsTheAncient]

digital drawing done with scratchy lineart depicting a scruffy half-elf man on a black background with a full moon shining behind him. His skin is undead grey and his hands which he keeps clasped finger-to-finger in a pyramid shape are missing skin in places and have long dusty pink worms threading in and out of them. He's wearing victorian style clothes in sage green tones and his brown hair is tied in a low ponytail.

also if the dishwashers ready to unload but you struggle to, after a day or 2 of using the dishes from it i just pack dirty ones with the cleaned ones and run it like that. despite not putting the fresh ones away, cause at least im doing some dishes instead of accumilating a mountain 💀

This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.

When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldn't get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.

I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week I didn't have much to 'bring' to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.

'What are you struggling with?' he asked.

I gestured around me and said 'I dunno man. Life.'

Not satisfied with my answer, he said 'No, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?'

I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didn't want to say it. I wanted to have something more substantial.
Something more profound.

But I didn't.

So I told him, 'Honestly? The dishes. It's stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CAN'T do them because I'll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just can't stand and scrub the dishes.'

I felt like an idiot even saying it.

What kind of grown ass woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with *actual* problems, and I'm whining to my therapist about dishes?

But he nodded in understanding and then said:

'RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.'

I began to tell him that you're not supposed to, but he stopped me.

'Why the hell aren't you supposed to? If you don't want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares?! Rules do not exist.'

It blew my mind in a way that I don't think I can properly express.

That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times.

I felt like I had conquered a dragon.

The next day, I took a shower lying down.

A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever the fuck they fit.

There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.

Now that I'm in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry.

But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:

THERE ARE NO RULES. RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!!!"

Knight and Midsummer eve (happy pride 🏳️‍🌈) [ #art | #oc | #knight ]

digital painting of two knights: Wreg (left) and Kauno (right). Wreg is unclothed and wearing a meadow flowercrown, as is custom for various midsummer spells in nordic countries. He's holding Kauno, who is in full plate armour. They are smiling tenderly at each other, and Kauno caresses Wreg's cheek. They are hiding from the setting sun in forest, which can be seen glimpses of in the background.

"The terrible person's work was terrible anyways." No. People who are terrible can still make pretty things. That's the problem. People who equate "good things = good people" is the reason why so many are exploited, tricked, fooled, harmed, etc. As if all goodness is perceivable in any industry.
