RE: the terminology convo Meanwhile over in Dragon Ball land, we have die-hard dub-only fans retching at usage of "Kuririn" while casually saying "zenkai" (a term never used the way they use it) and not thinking twice about our site's spellings of "Beerus" and "Omni-King" (which the dub took)

If anyone installed this and was having the game hang on a black screen during the opening cutscene, the patch file I generated was messed up somehow, and I've uploaded a correct version I've verified is working

Got some Ackman work going on… don’t know that I ever looked close enough before to clock this K2R (BFF Masakazu Katsura) nod on the chapter three title page.

As I close in on the end of Dragon Quest II, & particularly having played a portable spinoff right before this (as well as other remakes the last couple years), Alefgard is becoming a lot like Kamurocho in my mind. Perhaps it is Kamurocho that is like Alefgard. No, I will not elaborate any further.

Current issue of V-Jump has some historical DQ Monsters stuff and it’s so fun to just go pull it off the shelf. I even have some of the WJ stuff they reference! Also remains totally wild to see Julian’s “Beerus” name spelling just completely adopted like no big deal, right here on a magazine cover.

I can precisely pinpoint this last weekend as the 30th anniversary of my Dragon Ball fandom. It meant a lot to have someone like Jake here in person to facilitate and really go deep on the history, projects, pitfalls, regrets, and then also hopes and dreams for the future of this silly thing I do. 👇

If you're unsure about full price for the new DQM game in December (and since you can't carry actual save data over, didn't play the demo, so I don't blame you)... Well, the last one is $8 on Steam/GMG (or under $7 with XP). www.greenmangaming.com/games/dragon... Also $8 on Switch but runs worse.

It's September 14th, which means you can truly celebrate the 30th anniversary of FUNimation's Dragon Ball Z English dub debuting in syndication on American television! Or you could have celebrated it on September 13th. Or September 12th. Or maybe September 7th. 🔗 www.kanzenshuu.com/features/the...

While we wait on the DDoS mitigation to end (there's nothing we can do but wait), we've stood up a temporary landing page with an explanation of what's going on. Hope to see you again soon! tcrf.net

The Cutting Room Floor
Server offline

Welcome to The Cutting Room Floor, a wiki about cut, unused, and left over content in video games. Unfortunately, our server is currently offline due to a DDoS attack.

We'll be back as soon as possible; the server is online and healthy, but traffic to it has been blocked until the DDoS subsides.

For updates, check @tcrf.net on Bluesky. Unfortunately, we're no strangers to scrapers/AI bots and DDoS traffic...

In the mean time, consider checking out our Discord server, or support us via Patreon or Ko-fi.
This is all really stupid

This DDoS seems to have been triggered by someone using Claude Code and getting banned from the site for it, intentionally evading that ban to make up a fake story about their LLM wiping their entire OS, and then firing off multiple abuse reports to our host.

It may not surprise you that this guy has some interesting thoughts on consent, or that he has multiple blog posts in which he brags about poisoning LLMs to win championships or flooding a social network with spam to give himself 1,000,000 followers.

Why are AI people always like this.

Here's a bit of news you won't find at Gamescom: after 20 years, you can play Blue Dragon without an Xbox. A fanmade PC port arrives Friday, I've been playing it, and it's great:

pcgamer.com

Blue Dragon is finally free from the Xbox 360: a fantastic PC port unlocks the FPS, goes 4K, and more

This Xbox 360 recompilation proves how good fan ports can be when they aren't vibe-coded.
