Ah so on that latest Warhammer roadshow Q&A, they teased Custodes for Legions Imperialis. My wallet may never recover. Custodes Superheavies, OMG.

I mean, I’ve stopped for a couple of weeks. But I didn’t want to.

No new minis here for a couple of weeks. Mama’s had to go to the big cities to shake Daddy’s little money maker and pay for all that plastic crack.

Show us your tanks! Umm… there’s a bunch. From my 40K and Legions Imperialis armies. #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity

The week after PAX AUS, I am speaking at nothing and eating at my favourite local Izakaya for my birthday.

Personally I found immigrating was a good way of controlling who I still wanted a relationship with 😅

My home is the hell away from everyone else, hence I need a serviced apartment when I got to events.

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I’m tired of games industry events after hours, so how about I bring a hobby kit and invite three people around to my servuced apartment to paint minis, chat and drink wine together for an evening, who’s with me?* *Not even remotely serious.

I’m taking it slowly this weekend and just taking my time with this Phobos armour Librarian for my 40K Raptors.

Post your green art! My recently painted Green Marines (Raptors). #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity #Warhammer40K

He’ll look good in my desert Raptors colours for sure.

I got this Librarian in Phobos Armour for my Raptors. Gonna have some fun starting it this weekend.

Heresy-era Vlka Fenryka are the best versions.

Forgive the poor lighting in the photos, but I have finished my first #Raptors for #Warhammer40K. The North Antarctic here hasn’t had 20 mins of good sunlight but here I am working on Reasonable Marines in a desert camo scheme I found online. #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings.

And yes, today is extraordinarily grey here in the North Antarctic.

Just did an airbrush test for the Death World Forest which will be the base of my Raptors army. I’m reasonably happy with the results. After eighteen months exclusively painting Epic scale, I’m relearning 28mm mould lines and how to make sure they’re *all* off.

Starting work on a ridge diorama of a high speed Storm Eagle crash site.

I have nothing on this weekend and I am looking forward to spending quality time with my little plastic people.

I desperately want to see someone do a stretched version of that Trukk.

The diorama gets used as some area terrain in my games.

I wanted to put a warm, red glow on the conversion beam gun, so got my airbrush out just as a treat.

The current state of leg and torso assemblies.

I have zero interest in owning a 28mm Titan of any sort really.

010

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

No, I’m working on an Epic scale Warlord- one of the new weapon configs. My Warmaster Titan is in the shot as I was using it for reference on the spacing of the stripes. So, no, not $2000 or 3D printed, those are 1cm squares in the shot.

100

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Taping up stripes on my Warlord Titan, because apparently I hate myself enough to keep inflicting this on me.

I accidentally started a Space Marine army while I was in Germany. I was set on Raptors but now my love of Raven Guard is tugging at me (yes, I know Raptors are Raven Guard successors).

No miniatures this weekend either, whānau. I’m currently at Frankfurt Airport waiting to commence my horrendous trip home to the arse end of South Island, NZ.

130

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

I live in NZ and buy as little from the US as possible. That and the quality of food and wine is terrible as a rule for anything imported.

130

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Thanks love. I’m painting it all up for Armies on Parade next month with the vague hope of wining something. I’ve added a fourth Porphyrion (sponge painted, grimdark-style) and this diorama scenery since the army shot and hopefully I’ll have my next Warlord and a Storm Eagle crash site diorama soon.

Vee the Swamp Witch @veeswampwitch.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I’m opting out of any tedious Space Marine gender debate. Their gender is “Astartes” as far as I am concerned or “ridiculously tiny plastic people” if you really want. I’m just here for the models.

Waaaay too much painted plastic Legions Imperialis stuff to ever be useful.

It’s weird when you can see how much difference a couple of years can make since I’ve really been pushing myself.
