It's very rare for me to have the opportunity to work in an actual full final art, so I was pretty happy to work with everyone else in the @gg5thanni.bsky.social fanzine! Please check everyone's entries as well! #ゴスゲ5周年 #digimon #デジモン

I think the last time I painted at 1AM was like literally a decade ago, but I have been painting more lately and wanted an icon of Embrin and so:

Happy Update Day! #deadlock

Rem (A character from Deadlock, who is a fluffy, small avian creature who frequently carries around a pillow) is seen excitedly perking up, so quickly that his hat is lifting up off his head. His expression seems to be one of unbridled joy! Happy update day!

more exploratory ruff sketches, still workin things out 🐶 #art #ruff

more sketches of ruff the mudpuppy, including a front view, redraw of 3/4 view with her collar on, one of her side-eyeing behind her, two showing her front legs dramatically moving placement, and one of her itchin her neck/ear, revealing short fur

the plot development is better in the earlier eps if your difficulty was with the chars then imo watching more will be enjoyable because they get more time to develop and challenge them, but there's also a good chance it's just not your thing lol (there's a reason gekkomon didn't make my list RIP)

Vecderg @vecderg.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

i peeped bsky posts and it seems like more people were mixed on it than expected so i wouldn't blame you a ton loool i think the first arc was really strong so it's a bit awk to recommend further, but personally i feel like the character exploration is a lot stronger with later eps while --

also in case anyone asks fav chars from beatbreak: cougarmon, chiropmon, ludomon, kyo yes a human character made the list, i'm telling you this anime is wild

Vecderg @vecderg.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

otherwise it has REALLY good character building, character moments, animation/fights, and a lot of crazy dramatic scenes that you don't really expect, even from digimon it's like 80% of what i wanted from ghost game and just getting a solid season in general makes me really happy alskfja

Vecderg @vecderg.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

like ok objectively it's maybe an 8.5/10, it has some writing stumbles and disappointing shonen trope moments (the power system is vague enough where half the time the person who just Wants To Win More will win lol) but for digimon it's basically a 10/10 especially after all the recent stuff
