In Italy, female STEM graduates are fewer than 25% - with Penne, we're trying to change the narrative: out of 330 female scientists volunteering for our project, 238 are women. Representation matters! #womeninstem #womenandgirlsinscience #IDWGIS

First, I had no idea what it meant to be a scientist, nor that it was an accessible path for someone like me, until I actually embarked on it. Second, our society suffers from a poor understanding of the scientific method, both its powers and its limitations.
