Wow. Basically the definition of a perfect day. 63⁰F. Light breeze. Gorgeous crystal clear blue skies. And the fall colors are starting to show more and more. Love this

Alternatively, I original had Nerf Arena Blast for the PC on there too as it was my introduction to FPS games on PC with keyboard and mouse... and I still love that game to this day, but Pokemon Sapphire was like one of my fav Pokemon games of all time, and couldn't budge the others lol

Just choosing 9 is hard. But I think this is pretty close. All of these games had a big impact on me or shaped something in me and left a lasting impression.

I think the worst part about being at work or away from home is I'm not near our kitties at all times.

Feeling a bit British for breakfast today. But I also wanted some eggs. Also there is cheese but it's in slice form under the beans.

130

VazBax @vazdrae.com · 03/09/2026

Literally took the same screenshot today for the same reason

110

VazBax @vazdrae.com · 02/09/2026

I couldn't do anything, not even take screenshots when it went into read only mode. Don't fully understand why it did this, other than the power surge caused something on the kernel level to become corrupted and the disk went into read-only for protection.

010

VazBax @vazdrae.com · 02/09/2026

Welp... back on GNOME. I think a recent power surge caused my computer on sleep mode to break something on KDE. The main /root drive was going into read-only mode after a bit and couldnt launch apps or do anything. Decided I just prefer GNOME in the end, and a Fedora re-install fixed everything.

Also spent a good while customizing KDE to be how I liked with themeing all such and trying to get it to be a hybrid light and dark theme because I can't do full dark themes.. but pretty happy with it now.

you're talking about about this.... right? ..... right?

120

VazBax @vazdrae.com · 18/08/2026

Well it has since stopped now and GSmartControl gave it a pass on health.. so maybe its just a random sound? lol

010

VazBax @vazdrae.com · 18/08/2026

Recently my external HD has started making these weird sounds. Not always, is this like a sign of it dying or something? If anyone knows...

Ended up just going with a MacBook Neo. Kinda hard to compete against the bang for the buck these things are, especially the build quality.

Dell does however offer some of their laptops with the option to choose Ubuntu which normally knocks $45 to $100 off the price... but I think I found where someone goof'd up on the site on one model lol

In other news, not too long ago I switched my laptop on Fedora from GNOME to the new Cosmic DE. I really, really, like it! Feel like it needs a little polishing yet with animations and tiny little things here and there, but overall it's such a welcome/needed addition to Linux Desktop Environments.

I just wanna say, I've had this Casio watch for 10 years and didn't wear it much because I thought you needed a special tool to adjust the band... Which you don't. And now It's one of my fav watches and I leave it on almost 24/7.

CW: blood After several years (at least a decade now) I've had issues with breathing out of one side of my nose. And countless other sinus issues because of that. Today I finally had the surgery to correct it. I'm sore and nose feels gross but it went really well!
