You guys! Check out this awesome story by @chrisbaraniuk.com on how @shreyassudhakar.com's company Vayu, as well as community groups, are helping households get together and buy heat pumps in bulk at 15-30% discounts. A great way to add air conditioning while reducing fossil gas use for heating!

A California Program Is Bringing Down the Cost of Heat Pumps by Buying Bulk

The approach is like a Costco for heat pumps, and it’s helping make installations more accessible as heat waves worsen.

The most important decision you’ll make when getting a new heat pump installed is which contractor to work with. The brand matters much less, and in many cases you’ll find the exact same equipment with a different sticker on it. Really great video from Miss Mini Split.

If you could instantly add $12k to the value of your house, would you do it? This customer chose ductless heat pumps to replace their furnace. We tore out the old equipment and freed up their closet! The median San Jose home is $827/sqft, so we added ~$12k in property value from the new area!

Heat pump rebate submissions are a pain. But getting texts like this from my customers makes it worth it. We try to handle as much of the paperwork as we can - permits, rebates, duct testing, you name it - so that heat pump installations are as smooth as possible for our customers.

Not all "3 ton" heat pumps are alike. For each system Vayu installs, we review the manufacturer data tables and compare them to our load calculations to ensure that there is sufficient capacity for your house, in your climate.

@vayu.pro is thrilled to announce that we are refocusing our efforts to residential coal furnaces. We've heard your criticism - heat pumps don't work in the cold, climate change isn't real - and taken that customer feedback to heart. We'll include a free shovel for every order placed today 4/1!

When you install a heat pump HVAC system in your home, you should work with people that live in the community, understand your needs, and will stand by their work. We're proud to be your local San Francisco Bay Area heat pump experts.
