When they were like, "you have X days to contact us" I thought it was ridiculous and put off telling turbo tax. IRS thought we owed them, turns out I overpaid by an amount that boggles my mind. I used turbo tax "self serve" that year. 110

I got the TurboTax people and paid another preparer $500 to figure it all out. Turns out they owed me money and were sketchy about a refund. Today, nearly a year later, I got a big fat refund 😭😭😭 190
