It’s an amazing country and I don’t think we expected, what we’ve found. It’s not been over-developed and this coast has a wild, peaceful charm that has really captivated us. We will certainly be back, quite possibly to do this all again, in spring to see the nesting storks and wildflowers.

We see them fly over Provence and have seen them in the Marais Breton, but here on the sea-stacks is just so bizarre.I do love them and their clattery chatter. We were chatting to a birdwatching 🇳🇱couple who have loads where they live, but had been hoping to see them here too. They’re just wonderful

Thanks, we are having such a wonderful time. It’s a wonderfully wild part if the coast, and walking each day, with the scent of the sea, the views and the peace is rather lovely…. Although miles of sand is tough going 🤭

We met a young woman, who lives and works in Serra da Estrala, she had convinced us ( very easily) that we need to come back… we’re already planning a return to explore further

It’s beautiful isn’t it … the sand is hard going, as it is really inconsistent and deep in places, but it is a stunning route. It’s been very warm 25-28ish, but cooler tonight. We’ve averaged 15 for the first 3 days, but that will increase 😊
