I.e. the very beginning of the Dexter Blood Theme has a quiet harp glissando that adds a pleasant sort of mysterious "transition from nothing" www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yMX...

Ah. I was gonna say I find it interesting how much I probably, perhaps in a manner too basic, do just like harp glissandi. Honestly not even just for like "beautiful" reasons but they add a very specific sort of effect kind of like suspended cymbal, in pieces.

I wanna make a version of that "go for it nakamura" cover with my sona but like....there are practical good reasons why I should refrain from doing that.

I think of my proper "Varanemous" sona being this magician scalie who is a bit naive but has heart but ultimately thinks he has more aura than he actually does in reality, kind of like how I am already.

I need to remember when I design my less-true sona to give him a cape or cloak because I am too obsessed with superheroes and similar

Partly of my own making. Cause most people can't know my weird energy.

Varanemous @varanemous.bsky.social · 18h

Unrelated. I find myself drawn to other blerdy types in a way cause my experiences. Though me being a furry might make me a bit too weird..if I mentioned it. Of course that's something they'd have to find out. Irl me comes across as sterile if not shy or possibly closed.

If we do bring algorithms back into the discussion though, on the authorship side, I realize that of course the shit I make isn't necessarily "wide appeal" material anyways. It's just wide (hehe), and maybe appeal if you're into that thing. (If you asked me of course I'd say I like my chars.)

Idk I still think half the time I write comments I don't know that they are noticed or it ends up being awkward because I misunderstood something or like some other bullshit plus I am like one more notification probably in a sea of likes idk if anyone actually gives a shit lmao.

It reminds me that I could do better I think on THIS site to try to interact with others more but it usually doesn't go very far (and I don't even say this sounding transactional) most of the time. I HAVE gotten lucky though with getting some cool mutuals occasionally, though.

Varanemous @varanemous.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Full disclosure I DO have an account there (not Varanemous though) intended purely to get around the login prompt or whatever but I have repeatedly questioned making a real account. Yes I know what everyone has said about it but I still actually think about it.

Varanemous @varanemous.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I'm not going to fucking lie y'all: I've thought about making the bad site account because I felt like "idk maybe more people will see my work" but I think aside from the obvious reasons not to go there, another obvious reason is I think it'd fuck me if I looked at the FYP.
