iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Instagram has to be, currently, one of the worst social media platforms to grow. They literally never show your stuff. Post your content on TikTok get thousands of views.

So, I can consider my iOS app pretty much done for now. I’ll let it settle and see how it performs. If the reception is good, I will continue working on it. Meanwhile I have another project rolling. Too soon to give more details but it’s a saas this time. A simple web app.

As it’s the end of the week, let’s do a financial report. My app is live for 2 days now.

How do you guys validate your SaaS ideas?

I also took the chance to test out ad removal. It’s looking good.

Here we go again. App resubmitted and now we must wait… Took less than 24h the first time, that was not too bad.

For dabola.app my iOS app - backend I’ve built it in less than 1 week. The app itself took another week. I polished it for months (it still needs polish) - and it seems that the finish line keeps moving forward. I started working on and off on it after building the backend and the initial screens

App rejected. Rookie mistake, forgot to ask the user before collecting data. I’m not collecting any data at all, but Google admob does.

Hello everyone! I completely forgot to introduce myself—shame on me! I'm an indie developer building apps in my spare time while working full-time and living with my two little ones. I love creating useful, simple, minimalist things, and sharing the journey, yes, I will also include mistakes!

Here goes nothing, now let the games begin.

I'm working on two iOS apps. One is using react-native with expo.dev, and the other is built with SwiftUI. Every time I need to make changes to the one built natively, I regret the decision I made to go with react for the other. Apple dev exp is just better.

The app landing page is done. ✅ I need to drop the app now - not sure how long it will still take me though...

I had to drop the iOS widget idea I had for my app. It was not easy with Expo.dev, and I would have to do a lot of manual work to get it deployed and lose access to my dear $eas command. Evan Bacon tells us how we can do it: evanbacon.dev/blog/apple-h... - just too much manual work now.

We've got time. Also, those warnings give me such a trigger. It's a somewhat fresh expo project.

My dudes at expo.dev so fast I can’t keep up with the updates. This project is 1 week old.

Pushed version 5 to test flight. Boy what a ride. Worst part yet to come, as I read that App Store app review is a menace. 🫠 I’ll just go to sleep now.

It only took 3 weeks. But finally got an answer from apple dev support and managed to create a developer account.

About the app; so far it just feels like what twitter used to be. And still way better than threads. I never got used to that UI.
