Sens projected to be 12th best team in the league, and the BEST defensive team in the league…with a 50% chance to make the playoffs. The Atlantic Division is a helluva drug. I’m gonna be so pissed when the LA Kings make the conference final after finishing the season with 88 points.

I know this horse has been beaten to death but I’m not sure if I’ve ever encountered the argument for why the NHL shouldn’t go back to Quebec City. I get it’s not a big market, but it’s never even suggested as a way to balance the conferences after adding Houston or whatever.

I think if we want to watch preseason hockey the league should let us do it for free, both because it indicates that we are real fans who grow the game in our communities and because they feel sorry for us because we’re losers.

The Athletic's season previews has the Sens better than at least the Wings, Bruins, and Leafs. If you presume five teams from the Atlantic make the playoffs, that's a good sign.
