Starting off the blog with some of my photography from Kaua'i! It's a collection of pictures between 2021-2024. Some are film, some are digital. Hope to get more of these out soon. 📷📸 @bskyphotos.bsky.social #photography #filmphotography #hawaii #kauai

This is what it's all about for me. someone messaged me about New Roc on Instagram and we had a little conversation about it's heyday. New Rochelle isn't hard to reach from The Bronx without a car, and is definitely day-trip worthy. I'll have to make my way out there again soon.

A conversation I had with someone about "New Roc", a mall along the main Street of New Rochelle:

"memories of a time that no longer exists"

"That's what I hope to invoke!"

"What can you tell me about New
Rochelle?"

"back then it was revolutionary. for
families and school trips.
Everything you needed was there.
Billiards, bowling, arcade and one
of the first VR rides from the late
90s early 2000s. No matter the
age parents and children had
tons of fun."

"Especially if you were in the Bronx and
had a car, l'd imagine... When do you
think it started to fall off?"

"not too long ago. right before
covid it became cold less
families came. And during covid
when the rent increases and the
university took over there was
nothing left. So last 8 years
maybe less"

I'm digging it so far! I think rearranging the photogrid would be possible, like how Tumblr does theirs?

I'll still have my old carrd page if it doesn't work out, but I'm digging it so far. Maybe I'll blog about things too, we'll see.

Trying out @leaflet.pub to see if it's a good home for my photography. So far so good.

Went to New Rochelle and Scarsdale with a friend today. Forgot my camera, I'm not a fan of my Pixel 9's picture processing, but it works in a pinch I guess. I'll have to come back prepared next time. #Photography #MobilePhotography #DigitalPhotography #Westchester #NewRochelle #Scarsdale

Things around the house. They say a cluttered space is an indicator of a cluttered mind. What does that say about an empty space? 🫠 Who has time to organize things, right? 📷📸🌈 #photography #filmphotography #digitalphotography #filmsnotdead @bskyphotos.bsky.social

Last week we took a trip to Alphabet City, checked out the "NUESTRO HEROES" exhibit at Piragua art space. So many beautiful graffiti murals, too. Left feeling very inspired! Every day I learn a little more about my culture 🇵🇷 #photography #newyorkcity #nyc #streetphotography #art #Loisaida
