Not trusting my eyes, or wanting proof, I reached for my camera (i.e., phone) and the sculptures vanished — nothing there, just an unmoving, intensely white screen. By then I had lost all confidence in my brain, but took a picture anyway. Ghostly shapes appeared 2/3

To understand how surprised I was, there’re two things you need to know: I’m obsessed with Riemenschneider; I didn’t know there was Carving at the City & Guilds School. So when I walked away from oil-on-canvas and saw what looked like V&A’s Riemenschneiders, it startled me 1/3

Structure, structure, structure was very much the first thing that jumped at me when I first encountered image and language models. Great discussion here ⬇️

Makes good point that despite the far-right MO of catastrophizing—that the nation is irredeemably divided, headed for disaster, & far-right is the only savior—“the UK is generally very comfortable being a multi-ethnic society.” In 2020, 93% rejected the idea that you have to be White to be British

Third series could have done with some rewriting/editing. Some holes really bothered me, and that extended interrogation sequence could have been a text message lol Still some pertinent points. Second one was the best I think

Same here. Just had a look at the earlier reviews — they mostly found it outlandish and/or stretching the limits of credibility, even for sci-fi. Third-series reviewers are finally seeing the light. V curious about who advised the writer on tech matters.
