Locus fundraiser needs help! 4 days left and only 45% to their goal. They do incredible work spotlighting emerging writers of all backgrounds; it's quality work but it costs money to put out. It would be a shame if they had to cut back b/c they can't afford it. www.indiegogo.com/projects/loc...

JOHN WICK x THE COLOR OUT OF SPACE A hit man seeks revenge for his brother’s murder. A doctor hunts for the truth behind an impossible affliction. Together, they dive into a world of occult conspiracy and eldritch horror. But can they survive? #WIPPIT #A #H #T

A page from an old book showing a skull drawing and the word MORTEM, a well-dressed couple in shadow staring at you with glowing eyes, two skyscrapers looming overhead in the fog, several pistols lying in a cushioned case, a black hole, two doctors performing surgery, a man with his back turned and a woman's hand cradling his head, a cork board of documents and string, six figures cloaked in black and gathered in a semi-circle.

Title: Pitch
Text: Niozene has never been good enough. As the crown heir to the Mother, the living goddess that rules her country, perfection is not merely a goal; it is the base expectation, and one she’s never been able to live up to. Her flawless scholar’s education and polished career as a ranger have failed to convince the Mother to look past her greatest mistake: she was born without the holy power that grants her family their divine right to rule.

When a shape-changing assassin nearly kills the Mother on Niozene’s watch, she officially runs out of time to impress. She is stripped of her titles and given a choice: return with the assassin’s head, or face excommunication—banishment from both her homeland and the afterlife. Desperate, she accepts the task as her last chance to show the Mother she deserves a place as her daughter.

Allowed only the help of another excommunicated criminal, a surly, aged tracker named Sonsan, and facing an assassin who could be anyone, she dreads she has lost her chance to return home before she has even left. But when Sonsan reveals the same shape-changing power as the assassin, she realizes there is more to her quest than she has been told. As they chase the assassin deep into a forbidden land, they must confront the buried history they discover they share, as well as the ghosts that haunt their dreams and blood, if they are to return alive.
