Easy lottery rule of thumb, factoring in the pick swap: If NO’s card comes out of one of Tatum's envelopes before MIL’s does, the spot he's currently announcing is where the Bucks will draft. If MIL’s card comes out before NO's, same thing: that's where the Bucks will draft.

While New Orleans won a tiebreaker with Dallas for the 7th-best lottery odds, Milwaukee's chance of getting a top-4 pick only rose about half a percent. BUT their chance of drafting before 10th (their lottery position) rose 3.2%. They now have an 11% chance of picking 8th or 9th.

Things change fast in the NBA. Next year’s East is now wide open. Celtics won’t retain a starter with a big tax bill ahead. Pacers & Knicks likely won’t be huge favorites. Sixers & Magic will be trying to get re-involved. Cavs will still be a bit unproven. Absolutely room for the Bucks in that mix.

Extending Horst is a good call. Aside from the Kuzma deal (he can fix it with a move this summer), he hasn't missed since the Crowder trade. Was overruled for coaching hires. This offseason, ownership and Giannis NEED to let him pick his own coach. BADLY.

At this point, assume it’s a lock that Kevin Porter Jr. opts out of the final year of his contract at $2.5m. His minimum next year, which he’ll surely beat but can also get from any team this summer, is $2.7m. He’ll get at least the TPMLE. Anything $6–14m would hard-cap Milwaukee at the 1st apron.
