I completed the "Tournament" mode for Screamer. This game is definitely a top of 2026 for me. The gameplay, art, and music all come together to make one of the best racing experiences I had in years.

Found out that there was a proper Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn for PA3 released only Japan. It’s another From Soft developed title but not an ACE crossover. Downloaded the game to my PS3 and one striking element is that it uses the actual musical arrangements from Unicorn.

Cleared Denshattack! story and it’s better than it has business being for a game about tricked out trains doing crazy impossible stunts. This game is just pure gameplay joy start to finish, even if it has some frustrating control moments. The soundtrack is amazing too.

In general I can’t stop singing the praises of Denshattack! However I find some of the “Advanced” mechanics (tunnels, magnetic upper tracks, dual track sliding) to be very inconsistent compared to the baseline game control.

In what feels like a bittersweet experience, I'm playing the new expansion for Doom The Dark Ages and it's really excellent. However, I realized that I had Adobe Premiere running while playing - Doom didn't care. Running full out with max settings + path tracing without a skip. That's id.

Resonance of Fate is one of the best looking games on the PlayStation 3. Tri-Ace really delivered on the groundwork set up by Valkyrie Profile 2.

Disc Rot? I run an online game/CD shop. More than 10,000 discs CD/DVD/LD/BD have passed through me. I test each one. I find scratched discs for sure. And moldy discs in cases that also have moldy manuals. But a pristine case with a “rotted” disc? Twice. 2 times in the 15 years I have sold games.

Companies need to make money to survive but the success necessary to do this is earned - particularly in entertainment. You can only push your customer base so far before something snaps. When you make enough deeply unpopular decisions - it will eventually bite you. Nintendo walks this line well.
