Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 29/12/2024Here's a lifehack to not fuel your brain with nihilism. If u dont like a post, its rage bait. No exceptions. Hot take u disagree with? Rage bait. Boomer humor? Rage bait. Blatant discrimination? Rage bait. Weaponized incompetence? Rage bait. It makes life a lot more peaceful 010
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 13/12/2024Id love a company that would advocate having a home server. I don't think people realize how much power you can squeeze out of a low-power CPU. Something like fedora core could do great things if there was an "average joe" version. "But it costs power" not more than everything else in your house 010
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 10/12/2024So how do recruiters expect you to become senior rust developer if there's zero junior/medior positions? 000
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 05/12/2024Calling LLM's intelligent is a misnomer I thought this was common sense, but ask any non-techie and they legit do not know. 000
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 04/12/2024This would only be relevant if someone was scraping your machine, in which case you've already lost. Just don't `cat` sensitive info and you'll be fine 070

Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Agreed, but some people are in the middle of replacing their old cars and will discard AMD because NVIDIA is constantly in the news. Linus Torvalds also went for AMD. Also, I'm never telling anyone to *do*, just to consider it. It's not linus's fault that NVIDIA doesn't want to share their drivers. 000
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 27/11/2024You can like both mac and linux, free country! As for the issue, this only happens on nvidia. Nouveau was a great concept, and could've thrived if nvidia wasn't so scummy about their drivers. I encourage people to support AMD for this reason. 100
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Had to switch to an amd gpu because nvidia is still high and mighty about who gets to see their drivers. Its a tough pill to swallow so I don't blame u if you move back to Windows 000
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 27/11/2024I know our systems are down but my pomodoro timer says I need to take a short break 000
Ramones @van-sprundel.bsky.social · 26/11/2024If anyone's seriously considering Linux, then try Fedora. It's probably the most user-friendly environment you're gonna get. (Also, its good enough for Linus Torvalds so) 020
