I refuse to allow myself to get my hopes up (reminding myself that there has never been a Black female governor in the US. I would be shocked if she was the first). She would make history if she won (she has my vote). I think about it a lot. Not ONE Black woman has been governor. That's telling.

I have zero doubts about Ossoff winning, but yeah, I've been telling people about the split ticket voters. That's a huge thing here. People will question it if KLB doesn't win and Ossoff does, and the answer is just that: some people will vote Ossoff/Jackson. ...And also the racism and sexism. 😭

I think we're stuck purple in GA for a while. Atlanta and the Bluer suburbs are still barely enough to offset the rest of the Klan-Appalachia state. Even some of the Blue suburbs have the 50-50 split with Never-Trumpers, but will still vote other Republicans until the day they die.

Take into account that there has never been a Black Woman Governor EVER in the history of the US. If KLB were to win it would be historical. That's why I know it's a long shot, but my ass will be at the ballot box regardless. I so want GA to make history, but I refuse to get my hopes up.

There are a lot of ppl who split tickets. I want to be hopeful, but realistic. It would be a huge (& welcome) surprise if she wins. Other states will be in an uproar over a loss, but ppl in ATL never underestimate everyone else in rural GA. I want her to win so I can break down in tears of joy. 😭

Same. The Metro will vote for her, but will it be enough to carry her over the finish line when facing the deeply rooted sexism, racism, and misogyny in the south? She's got my vote and I'm encouraging everyone I know to do the same. But it's ATL versus *gestures vaguely to the rest of the state*

This and the stunt they pulled at Wheeler with that "presidential visit" raises my blood pressure for my fam there. I sincerely hope people wake up and vote them out 😢

I'm in Atlanta tho, so results may differ. I'd say contact your County Elections office about the date. Even though the site you're on in the GA State MVP page, your County should know about the discretion. Their system is supposed to communicate with the State System.

Mine doesn't have the date of the November election listed at all yet (or a sample ballot). My polling location is still the same, but I never actually go on election day. I'm either EV or Absentee Ballot. Will likely do EV this year with USPS fuckery.

My prediction is that Ossoff wins, but KLB won't...because despite Metro fighting tooth and nail for her, the racist misogynists in the rest of this state will do anything to keep it from happening. That makes me concerned for the other state Dems on the ballot. Regardless, everyone needs to VOTE!

Had a bunch of them outside my apartment last year. Their webs are gigantic and the females get insanely large. However...they are very chill and fairly shy. And I had less gnats and mosquitoes last year because of their presence. So they stay in their lane, I'm cool with them staying by my place.

I think a lot of people are missing the point: they won't mail you the ballots in the first place. That's the point of this "list". USPS won't send it to you. You can't take a ballot to a drop box if you never get it.

One of my favorite books when I was a toddler was "Little Bunny Follows His Nose" because it had scratch and sniff stickers and I was a child who loved sensory time. I was also raised on PBS, so I got the Wishbone books to go with the TV show.

Carve out metro Atlanta to join the north. Let the mountain & rural ppl be the rest of the south's problem. That's pretty much how it is now. Stay in the Metro (I mean the Big 5: Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton) and it's a totally different state. Savannah can come with Metro. They're aight.
