I took the dialect quiz and yeah this makes sense as someone who lived in North Jersey the first half of my life, and outside Philly the second.

62% of my dialect answers pointed to NJ, with NYC and Philly being the cities most like me.

My cat passed away on Wednesday. She'd been struggling with an aggressive cancer for four months, and despite some great treatment, it had spread enough that I decided it was better to end her suffering. I'm going to miss her so very, very much. She was the best cat I could have ever asked for.

My now-deceased cat Youmu, who is half-gray and half-white. She has very fluffy fur, and is laying down in front of an open door, looking at something out of frame.

If you see this, post your favorite Fire Emblem characters. Yes, FE8 is my favorite, and yes, I haven't played many others in the series yet. I just have a lot of attachment to Eirika, Joshua, and Natasha :)

Eirika, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. I always liked the name 'Eirik,' she should have been named that in English, too. It's cute!

But I guess everyone would have pronounced it 'Eric' so maybe it's for the best.

Natasha, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.

Anyway this is what Passionlip looks like, if you aren't aware. I love her, for the record.

Passionlip from Fate/Extra CCC. A girl with extremely long lavender hair, meek (tareme) red eyes, and a violet hair ribbon. Her shoulders are bare, her comically-large breasts covered only with a leather strap connected to a black collar. She wears a black corset and violet/black striped bloomers over black tights and shoes. Her arms are covered in a golden metal, ending in massive, wicked claws.

Valera 🏳️‍⚧️ @valera.moe · 19/03/2026

Like??? (spoilers for CCC, obviously)

Passionlip: I don't like fighting. I don't like being scared. I don't want to get hurt anymore...

Passionlip: Please have fun talks with me. Please show me a pretty world. Please touch me, with gentle motions.

Passionlip: I don't hate anyone. I'll endure any abuse. So, if you could--

Caster: When you end up destroying all that you touch, it just means that you're not strange to the world. [Passionlip's] mistake is not accepting that fact.

Passionlip: Please help me... When everyone sees me, their eyes bulge and their hands go up in the air.

Passionlip: Please forgive me... Everyone, EVERYONE, they laugh at me, saying I'm bad.

Passionlip: Ahh, but-- but Hakunon was different.

Passionlip: She HAS to be different from the others. She looked at me with kindness. She spoke to me with a soft voice.

Passionlip: So kindly--! And, with a kind smile, like the one I saw over and over in my dreams, she asked me my name.

Passionlip: I love her... I love her... I love her... I love her... I love her... I love her...

Narration/Hakuno: This is the center of Passionlip's mind...

Narration/Hakuno: A world filled with an anguish that no one understands, and a sense of hopelessness that no one tries to see.

Passionlip: .................

I'm surprised I don't see much discussion of Alice and her Servant from Fate/Extra among trans dollgirls. You're telling me this game portrays Alice, like from Alice in Wonderland, as a lolita dollgirl, and her Servant is just herself but as a gothloli? Okay??

Alice from Fate/Extra, who's dressed in a more lolita-fashion inspired Alice dress. She has doll joints for her arms and legs.

Alice's Servant, Caster, from Fate/Extra. Technically called Nursery Rhyme. The design is very similar to Alice, just with more of a gothloli bent. She also has doll joints for her limbs.

Breath of Fire (yes I'm copying it from Barley, that's how much I want a new one)

Castlevania (no the collections don't count, I want a new mainline game)

Perfect Dark (we!! were so close!!! even though that canceled imsim probably wasn't gonna be good!!!)

Popful Mail (I mean yeah it's basically just Slayers with a cute elf lead (also voiced by Megumi Hayashibara in Japanese) but it's such a cute little game and I wish Falcom made more of them)

For #RandomGameSaturday, the wonderful Baroque! I had no idea when I bought it, but there's actually a clear plastic cover over the instruction booklet, with text and character designs. I've tried getting pictures of it but it's a real pain. I miss when games had neat little touches like this.

The CD case of Baroque (Saturn, 1998). It displays an ominous, darkly technological tower. Overlaid on clear plastic is a strange shape akin to a human hand.

The clear plastic cover on its own. It shows the hand shape from before, but now with the game's title overlaying the major characters. Text (on two separate layers) dissonantly hangs above.

Ciel's third ascension in Fate/Grand Order. A white-skinned girl with short, cerulean hair that gradients to a sky blue. She has soft blue eyes. In her hair is a sky blue crystalline flower. She wears a magical girl-esque minidress in blues and blacks, with black tights, gloves, and white heeled shoes. A blue crystalline crown orbits above her head like a halo, and blue rings of light orbit around her wrists. The backdrop is a starry sky.

I don't usually like defining things through existing media, but its inspirations are VERY apparent. That isn't necessarily bad. It does try to be its own thing, but it clearly has a love for FromSoft and BLAME. Anyway it's fun! I made my girl look like Diode because of course I did (read TCR).

A screenshot of the character sheet from the game Dolls Nest. On the left side of the screen is a girl in red and black mecha armor. She wears a short white and red dress, and has white hair, with gradient into lavender at the ends. It's cut into what I think is a straight bob. She bears a superficial resemblance to Diode from Twinstar Cyclone Runaway.
