Outrun is my favorite video game, period. One of the few games that I'd tag with the label of "perfect." A flawless execution of the concept, and a polished presentation with fitting music with roots in the world of jazz fusion that would continue to influence future driving games like Gran Turismo.

My response to a Discord conversation. It drives me bonkers when "Korobeiniki" is mislabeled as "the Tetris Theme" as it completely ignores "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" (NES Type A), "Kalinka" (Atari arcade/Tengen NES) and "French Suite Number 3 in B Minor" (Gameboy Type C), among others.

After reconnecting with a few friends at a con recently, I noticed a recurring theme: "has it REALLY been that long since we talked?" 2020 really skewed everyone's sense of time and yeah, my own anxiety was preventing me from reaching out. I've since learned it's worth reaching out to say "Hi!"

I was at BLFC recently and while having lunch, I was watching a never ending stream of anthropomorphic animals commuting up and down the main hallway. I couldn't help but think about how I was suddenly in the world that had previously existed only in my head.
