I asked d AI to write my bio to put on my works intranet page to introduce myself. I can't use this but I really like what it came up with.

I know you are all wondering the outcome. Well, Yoshi was an annoying bitch towards the end but like I've always said, Wario always wins!! And yes this was hard mode again.

@thebigbadme.bsky.social so the Bear's 3rd string QB just spanked the undefeated Eagles. What's going on with your Pack? 😂🤣😂🤣

My streak continues. Wario always wins. And yes. This was on the hardest difficulty. No mercy against my kids. 😂

I bought the new Silent Hill game yesterday. I'm REALLY behind on my horror games. I blame my youngest for not being able to play them in front of him. Scratch that. I blame my wife for not letting me play them in front of him.

Doing more training for my new job. This section is setting up VMs in Azure. Instructor: You'll want to change the default administration username from Administrator. This will keep the bad guys from easily guessing the login. I'm going to change this to AdminAdmin.

@thebigbadme.bsky.social all joking aside, if Williams is out for the season, it's not fair. 🤣😥

I know it's only my second day not including my orientation yesterday, and I still haven't done any real work yet, but I think I'm going to like it here.

Day one in the books. Today was mostly set up and paperwork. Orientation on Monday then perhaps actual work related stuff Tuesday?

Tomorrow is my first day at my new job. I've been with my last company for 9 1/2 years. I'm pretty introverted.Meeting a bunch of new people, not knowing their personalities and if I can joke around and just be myself around them is really stressing me out.

My wife has been playing the "It's my anniversary" card all day when asking me to do things like it's not mine too. Life tip: don't joke around and say something like it's my anniversary too its not like it's your bday. It doesn't end well.

Ok. So it's not managers from other teams like I thought. The interview is with the Assistant Vice President, IS Leader and Cyber Risk Manager, and the IS Compute & Storage Manager.

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! My friend reached out to the interviewer that he worked with this morning that interviewed me. Here is her reply:

Reaching out to tattoo parlors by my house. I think I'm going to get my Bob's Burgers tat. My usual place (yes I'll feel bad cheating on) has a minimum of $100. This is NOT a $100 tat. I floated the idea of buying a $30 gun that comes with ink & tracing paper to my wife but she shot that idea down.

040

V_To_The_K 🅅 @v-to-the-k.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Ok. Got through it. I think it went ok? I don't feel as confident as I did my first round but don't think it was bad.

260

V_To_The_K 🅅 @v-to-the-k.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Under 2 hours left until my second round interview. Nice dress shirt ready? ☑️ Possible lucky socks? ☑️ Sheet of questions to ask them? ☑️ Notes of experience from my past job? ☑️ Exposed AWS Bucket and Azure Blob write-up for reference? ☑️ Incredible anxiety? ☑️ What else am I missing?

Talk me off the ledge please. I was let go 2 months ago. Having trouble finding a job. All rejection emails. Had a good interview 2 days ago but my lapsed Pentest + exam I worry is going to hurt me. My already issue with imposter syndrome is being amplified by 1000 at the moment.

V_To_The_K 🅅 @v-to-the-k.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Shit. I didn't realize my PenTest+ certification lapsed. Thought it was later this year. I need to re-pass that. They're going to check.

120

V_To_The_K 🅅 @v-to-the-k.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Ok. 1/2 hour long interview went an hour. I think it went well and I'll make it to the next stage but no clue. There are 6 people this round and I was the first. Hopefully I'll hear next week. Those will be more technical that I'll have to prepare fore.

V_To_The_K 🅅 @v-to-the-k.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

FINALLY an email not saying to shove off and actually wanting to schedule a video interview. It's for a Technical Incident Response Analyst position in the next suburb over from me so very close to home.
