Nextdoor neighbor was telling me yesterday about wanting to shoot the raccoons (his garage light blinds his scope, but he can't see the raccoons when it's off), and last night the smallest one showed how unafraid of humans these 3 are.. so I set up a live trap.

at the end of the day AI art feels pointless from a customer perspective because why would i pay you for something i could basically do myself by just typing a prompt? i pay a lot for handcrafted goods in part bc it would cost me a lot of time and money to learn to do it myself at that level.

This lack of consequences is what really gets me. If a human hacker did many of the things AI are doing, they'd likely be seeing prison time. It's not just a US thing either, despite most of the companies responsible being US based. Other affected countries also aren't taking action against them.

A friend got a call that Bill Manspeaker was looking for musicians for a gig & invited me to tag along. Manspeaker insisted I come to the pre-show stuff & hang out on stage. I kept passing along an early-days weed vape, he also had me sing lead on the Bear Song. I also skipped around in the pit.
