yeah bi is VERY much like a more traditional castlevania game with souls elements. bii is by no means easy either. but i think bii is overall a much more enjoyable game especially if you like metroidvanias specifically. i recommend skipping, there’s nothing in bi that is required playing imo

blasphemous ii is much more metroidvania-like than the first one imo, but they are both very combat heavy. bii basically has three weapons that all have different stage interactions for exploration mechanics and you unlock them all agnostically of each other which makes for incredibly woven stages
