Enzo is celebrating black dog day, the same way he celebrates everyday- begging for treats, playing fetch, being an awesome foster brother and all around very good boy!

Of course I can’t say no to a new foster… so welcome Sasha! She’s been in rescue since June. She is looking, with her ice blue eyes, for her forever family. Obviously, she’s a medium sized husky mix. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored. www.lewiscountycaninecompany.com/adopt#sl_emb...

Good news! Nova found her forever home today, they are committed to going slow and letting her world get bigger on her terms. They read the 20 page decompression doc 2 times and took notes! She’s set up for success!!!

Enzo and I headed to the beach for a little getaway, little did we know it would be the first windstorm of the season but we kept power in the yurt and had a lot of good weather too!

Megan S @uwmeg97.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Great news!! Nova is officially available for adoption, she’s looking for a patient home that will help her continue to learn the widervworld is a safe, fun and wonderful place! She’s located between Seattle and Portland.

Megan S @uwmeg97.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Since leaving her siblings, Nova is blossoming into such a happy happy girl. She’s off to get spayed tomorrow so let’s wish her the best! Once spayed the rescue will assess if she’s ready for adoption or needs more time to adjust to the “single” life!

Latest foster pup, Nova! I dare you to not be mesmerized by her eyes! She’s an approx 7 mo old charcoal gray pittie mix. She’s been with her siblings for her whole life so she’s adjusting to being her own dog and not just part of her family pack.

If you’ve ever wanted a dog that looks like a husky but you live in a place with size limitations and you’re not excited about all that hair… meet Lily! She’s a blend of 26 breeds but her coloring is all husky! She’s my latest foster and is available 1/2 way between Seattle and Portland.

Looks like a husky will probably be 30lbs at the very most!

Somebody needs to adopt this adorable baby- he’s perfect for being 3 1/2 months old! Perfect combination of confidence and snuggle buddy. I know he’s good with dogs and kid and pretty sure he’ll be totally fine with cats (ignored a bunny in the yard). My guess is he’ll be between 30-40lb

So I booked a trip to Vegas for next week back in January while in the midst of selling my mom’s house and PNW winter, just looking for a short easy getaway. It should be in the 80’s but no… I’m looking at 100+ for the time I’m there 😬🥵

When the reality of your next DIY home project arrives and now you’re low key panicking. I’ve done click flooring before but this will be by far the largest project. I just have to keep the goal of NO MORE CARPET in my house in mind or I may cry 😂 Excited for big dirty dog friendly flooring!

Feeling nostalgic tonight, my childhood home will be someone else’s house. I’m so happy my mom is happy in her new apartment and I’m excited for the buyer who will to own her very 1st house but it’s also nearly 50 years of memories and an anchor to childhood that will be gone. Dog tax for luck.

Hi all my #UglyDog friends. I’m working with a brand new dog rescue in my community. They opened early because a notorious puppy mill was FINALLY shut down. They took in 12 females, 8 puppies, and 3 are about to give birth. I’ll post ways to help in the next post but how cute is this mom to be.
