I teach bystander intervention for a living & I spend all my days thinking about building community care, breaking isolation, etc. I wish more people understood how community banks, local grocery stores, door-to-door mail service, etc. are all tiny, but important ways that we build connections.

Albuquerque community, the minister at the Church of the Good Shepherd is being targeted with threats after speaking out in support of our LGBTQ community at Wednesday nights school board meeting. They are seeking peace keepers to come to their church tomorrow at 10:30 am.
Peacekeeping teams needed this Sunday to provide peacekeeping at Church of the Good Shepherd at 10:30am. Facebook comment says: Pastor Sarah Tevis Townes is being targeted by incredibly dangerous nationalists for standing up for LGBTQIA+ rights at the APS board meeting on Wednesday. There is a real possibility of violence against her and her congregation this Sunday, November 24. Please come out to Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC starting at 10:30 am. We are hoping that the sight of dozens and dozens of people in the parking lot will be the best, most peaceful defense. There is a real threat of violence, so please prayerfully consider attending. The sheriff's office is aware of the situation.
