i don't have notability in the traditional sense but my unattributed internets influence is spiritually verified and distributed through memes, chan posts, copypastas, reaction images and whatever the interwebs equivalent of folklore is

i hate GenAI with a passion and personally try to avoid using it myself, but human hours aren't cheap and the ROI is great for those who use it, so i understand the appeal as for the environmental factors for datacenters, all industrys have negative effects, resources would move elsewhere

utsuho rocks @utsuho.rocks · 01/09/2026

unironically this is the most ethical and practical use cases for GenAI, low-level software engineering can be tedious and just throwing a hail mary with a tool simplifies the process the only unethical part is on Anthropic's end with training data, that's the only bit I object to

AWESOME, i personally hate using AI myself, but i gotta say, it's pretty impressive it managed to brute-force its way to making a working prototype, even if he had you babysit it most of the time, i consider this as tool-assisted, instead of the usual "maek app pls" vibecoding

might need an invite heh, probably be semi-inactive as i expected, the docker version really doesn't seem to play well with my SELinux policies, any recompile of the policy tree causes the containers binds to go read only (security alert!), even with with :z instead of :Z on the binds

oh wow for 59 users that's honestly a very tiny footprint, i'll try setting up an instance myself, depending on how it goes i may end up requesting an invite to yours if that's okay

i would host my own PDS for bsky but - i don't care enough right now - probably requires maintainance to people who host: i see the recommended specs/storage/tx in docs but what are the real world values that you see?

Quora AI isn't quite there yet

Quora AI assistant answer to
Is there such a thing as a Welsh sign language?

Welsh is the correct language for the signs, since they're in Wales. English is there for those who don't speak Welsh. Of course, everyone in Wales speaks English, but that's no reason to put all the signs in that language. Everyone in Norway speaks English too, but they still have road signs in Norwegian.

there is a building on North Gould Street that can assign "registered agents" also "the firm is not responsible for scams that may be committed by its clients" i found out about all of this by talking to a discord dm art scammer, they registered a company wise account to accept a payment from me,
